Summary: Essays on life
Review: Each chapter in this book is a separate essay - and each has very important and helpful truths.

My favorite chapter in the book is one titled "What is Greatness?".

Whenever I feel very hurt by the actions of others - or angry - I remember this essay. Sometimes I pull it out and read it again. It's about how hard it can be to love people sometimes - and why we should do so anyway.

This is the key to ending vengeful wars and petty disagreements. This is really such a beautiful, life-changing piece of work.

You can see that particular essay on line - then buy the book, it's full of gems!

Summary: This book is a best friend.
Review: I am very glad this book is out in paper back. I love this book and have loaned it to many friends who then hold on to it forever. So I buy another. I have read it several times and I never tire of it's message. Few books contain such simple truths and reach so profoundly into one's day to day life, that when one finds such a book, it is coveted, yet irresistably passed around to those one holds dearest in life. In a world that has seemingly become almost overwhelming complex, this book is a breath of fresh air. It has answers when one is searching for meaning and understanding during difficult moments in life. It informs and enlightens, yet it reaffirms one's own higher ethical instincts and certainties to do the "right" thing. It simplifies the most complex life conundrums so that one is more likely to make choices that improve things and make life more livable, more happy, more vibrant and yes, much more fun. Read it once. Wait a few weeks and read it again. You will see the universal applicability of the message that transcends any time period. This book will remain my best friend. What more can one ask of a book

Summary: More Truth than Tomes of Philosophy
Review: I found this book refreshingly simple and applicable to everyday life. Since reading and incorporating "The Two Rules To Happy Living" in my life, I have found it much easier to handle difficult situations! Another chapter I found particularly useful was "How to Live With Children." Following the advice given there, even when it seemed different from the "accepted norm," has produced very good results.

Although the intellectual exercise of understanding the great philosophers of the past can be interesting, I found more truth in the straightforward approach to life covered in this book. I want to read everything I can find by this author

Summary: Not understanding this book. Lacks of scientific background.
Review: I would give this book zero points, because it lacks of validitation.
A phenomenal language constructions does not show logic, coherence and scientific backup.
By the way....... what is the authors qualification? lol

Summary: Personal Story
Review: There was a chapter that changed my life and my idea on effort. The Chapter "Anatomy of Failure" explained that a person's downfall comes from things not happening the way they want. This was true for me. My life was a long chain of failures and I was miserable from failing. So, the change came with the advice to intend for life to keep on happening the way life keeps on happening--and a healthier way of living to try to change things for the better BUT not to be broken hearted when failure occurs. Hello! I thought I always had to be gung-ho and do or die and I was just killing myself because not everything goes my way. So I was stupid. I guess this is a confession, not a review. However, each chapter is a different subject and an excellent insight into the scope of the Scientology religion. Don't be scar'd! Books don't bite.

Summary: I have read this book over and over again
Review: This book is so easy to read. It's compiled of essays on life and living, and they make so much sense of things!

I have been inspired by this book and there have been times when I had trouble with some aspect of life, and picked this book up again -- and my problems stopped being "problems" as I could see where I was going wrong in my thinking, thus creating a problem where one did not need to exist.

This book has been tremendously helpful to me in my life!
