Summary: More a biography of the authors life
Review: The author spends too much time talking about her experiences
and her spirit guide and little on development.
more like a propaganda to her self, did not like it much
did not learn anything.

Summary: A No Frills Account of a True Medium's Experience
Review: This book is recommended by John Edward, perhaps the most famous psychic medium of his time. In his book, "Crossing Over," which is based on his popular television program, Edward states, "In September of 1998, I happened onto a new book by a medium I hadn't heard of before. It was called "Contacting the Spirit World," and it was a guide for people who want to develop their own abilities to connect with that world. This book knocked me out. It was written in a very straightforward, matter-of-fact, useful way." Edward continues, "I was so impressed with the book that when I finished it, I was probably like everybody else. I wanted a reading with the author."

I think that pretty much says it all. A negative review from a person with little understanding of the time and patience required for true spiritual development is one thing. This kind of approval from a person who has dedicated their life to the field, in my opinion, bears more weight. You make the call.

Summary: Content Doesn't Live Up to the Title
Review: This book, written in a straightforward style, is a broad overview or general introduction for someone who doesn't know anything about mediumship. But, it doesn't, as the author admits, give you a concrete, step-by-step technique for contacting your loved ones, as the title seems to promise. Indeed, she states it takes years of practice and sitting in a circle of more developed, like-minded people to get anywhere in mediumship--time which people who have to work for a living do not have. Her snippets of information about various aspects of the subject are like being served a dinner of hors d'oeuvres and being deprived of the main course, not to mention dessert.
