Summary: Beautiful! Great connection, too
Review: I just have the cards, not the book [wishing for it], but the cards are beautiful, especially the colorful flora. Colors are magnificent and the images help connect you with the intuitive side. I have formed a deep connection with these cards.

Summary: A great deck.
Review: I use this deck almost every day, and I just love the colors and the imagery. It is a very friendly and positive deck. The book is really great, it has a good paragraph or two for every card and it does give reversals. It also has an activity for each card too, something I've never seen in a basic deck-based-book. Some activities are spells, meditations, etc. It's really well done. The cards are a good size for smaller hands, and they are plastic coated and very glossy. I spilled water on my deck, and the water just beaded up and rolled off- the cards were fine! Not many decks are made this way. I do not find the deck too sweet and fantastical, although it has faries on some cards. I love all the vegetation (ferns and such) that seems to grow right out of the cards. The colors are rich and relaxing. Overall, I really like this deck. ...

Review: Someone said this deck hasn't Christian symbols. In fact, though the author is Wiccan, she has incorporated the symbols of the Rider-Waite in this deck, though you sometimes need the descriptions from the book to notice this(I'm Christian myself).
I love this deck.It was the first deck I ordered, and it's still one of my top favourites.Because it's almost R-W,only so much more fantastical,I rather use this deck than the ones less traditional.
The Moon Garden is not shallow.A new world will open to you if you explore this deck.

Summary: This deck didn't really speak to me
Review: The imagery of this deck is similar to the Rider-Waite deck, which is what I learned on. However the coloring and tone of the deck are too happy. Not all Tarot cards have a positive meaning, and this deck is full of balloons, butterflies and rainbows. I found myself, especially with the minor arcana, trying to pull up in my mind what the Rider-Waite card had looked like to complete readings. I did like some of the cards; the Wheel of Fortune card was a carousel with dragons, unicorns and other exotic animals. The Death card was a purple and red dragon. In general, I liked the Major Arcana best. And while the Major Arcana are the most significant cards in a deck, they make up less than a third of it. I had a lot of trouble intuitively understanding the minor arcana. I felt like this deck didn't have any depth to it, and I have found several decks I like much better, especially the Robin Wood Tarot.

Summary: Gentle and Reflective - Whimsical but Deep
Review: The quality of this deck is above average; durable cardstock, nice artwork, very smooth and easy to handle and shuffle.

Some people have described this deck as "silly" or "cutesy." I worried that I would find the deck a bit tacky. However, I found it very easy to connect with the deck and found the images quite pleasing. The artwork is very well done, and layered with symbolism. The pleasantness and gentleness on the surface makes it easy to open one's mind to the cards and upon closer inspection there is quite a bit of depth and meaning to be discovered.

I believe it's a wonderful deck to use when tackling emotionally charged issues. The deck has a way of placating the reader that would allow for honest assessment of difficult issues. Metaphorically speaking, "a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down." I think it would be very suitable for introspection, dealing with children or childhood issues, gaining awareness of illusions we may have developed or the dreams we have lost touch with, promoting creativity and a sense of wonder, and great for looking at relationships of any kind. It's not a mundane or practical sort of deck, not a deck for planning or evaluating external affairs. It's much more emotional, intuitive, reflective, for exploring "hidden" aspects of oneself.

The book (not the insert, but the companion book) is okay for gaining a basic "feel" for the deck. The interpretations are interesting, and would be fine to expand upon. There are rituals associated with each card, which are of no interest to me, but for many would be quite valuable. There is even a recipe for "Empress Oatcakes." There is also a mat demonstrating a celtic cross spread, which is so pretty it could be used as a poster.
