Summary: interesting
Review: This book has some very interesting spells. None of this book is black magic and so I like it. The thing I liked about this book was that it tells you how to come up with your very own spells.

Summary: the best spell book there is
Review: this book is better than any other spell book i have ever seen it gives ideas for spells and a sample spell for many topics. the first part of the book tells you what goes into a spell and how to creat your own,it has an excellent appendix that has objects and its corresdonces. it even has simple objects in it like candy wrapper. i highly reccomend this.

Summary: My favourite book
Review: This book provides so much information about so many topics it suprised me! It contains great information about what magick is and when it is used in religion, the history of magick, what spells are and the components of spells, 10 steps to creating your very own folk spells (which may make some people including myself wonder who all those guardians she wants you to pray too are and if they really exist?), 318 positive spells from Abundance spells to Zeal spells. Some of the spells do require some odd items and she doesn't explain how to cast spells very well and it also makes you wonder who came up with the spell and if anyone has actually tried it, but it does contain some practical and complex (some people like complex spells which aren't necessary for magickal success according to the author and myself) for many instances, wants, and needs. Next, it contains good information on how to create magickal items such as Windchimes, wands, candles....etc. It then contains good and extensive correspondence information about so many items and also a few pages reguarding deities and what they are related to and where they are of origin. Although some places in this book make me wonder, the book itself is good and the author is one of the most positive people I have ever read. So, if you want to add a little magick into your life, read Spinning Spells, Weaving Wonders Modern Magic for Everyday Life by Patricia Telesco!!!!

Summary: A very approachable introduction to folk magic.
Review: This was my first book on folk magic and the Craft. It's sensible, gentle presentation eased my fears and gave me the confidence neccessary to begin study. It has excellent correspondence tables and many, many spells, as well as hints on creating your own. Very hands-on. It doesn't include much in-depth discussion on other aspects and paths, but is an excelent beginner's book. I reccommend thus for anyone just beginning to explore the Craft or folk magic, or as a reference for anyone looking for new spells.
