Summary: PUT THIS ON YOUR SELF-HELP TOP 10 LIST!
Review: After four years, Debrena Gandy has followed up her wonderful Sacred Pampering Principles with All the Joy You Can Stand. In this book, Gandy offers women the tools for focusing primarily on their inner spirits. Principles include forgiveness exercises, clearing your aura, and aligning yourself with your Higher Spiritual Good. If you have read her first book, then you will not be disappointed by All the Joy You Can Stand. I found that although the principles she offers in the book are nothing new or unique, they are placed them in a context that I'm sure everyone can relate to. She offers clear examples from her own experiences that are presented in short numbered chapters allowing the reader to easily (a.) pick up where you last left off reading, and (b) easily refer back to that section when you are experiencing one of life's many challanges. Gandy has once again presented an easy-to-read book, written in a conversational tone that speaks to every woman willing to learn how she can experience All the Joy You Can Stand.

Review: I've picked this book up at least 10 times in the last 3 months, and it seems everytime I pick it up I hit upon the exact principle I need at that moment. What a blessing to have this wonderful book in my library! I'm giving this book to as many people as I can this Christmas!

Summary: Exceptional-Tells you specifically how to get JOY
Review: This book is written to the black woman, but it trancends all racial boundries.

Read the first couple of pages of the excerpt and find out how the author's mentor gets her to be very specific in the diretion she takes in this book. On page three of the paperback, you really find out whether or not you need to read this book. I will site the authors words here that I find to be the key theme of this book:

Is your spirit killed?
"On the outside, we may look like we're doing fine, while on the inside, we are hemorrhaging spiritually. For many of us, the erosion has left holes in our souls and a trail of other effects: loss of motivation, procrastination, loss of energy, loss of passion and enthusiasm; feeling unfocused, unfulfilled, disorganized, always on the go, off center; being unsettled, anxious, nervous, indecisive, irritable, fidgety, or feeling as if your life has become one rushed hectic, stressful routine."
I am sure you will not be disappointed with this author's work. She speaks loud and clear! Just read it.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This book will sit on your nightstand table because you will want to refer to it often. Ms. Gandy's book encompasses observations she has made and lessons she's learned from this journey called life. The book has some valuable information and exercises that are highly stimulating. It will get you to look at your life in review and from there map out a plan to continue on this day forward from a different perspective. The chapters are relatively short, easy to read and a provacative lesson given in each one. I enjoyed the personal stories and anecdotes that Debrena continually uses throughout the book. She is very aware of her surroundings, her environment and her life at all times. Her writing perspective is one of conscious living and reveals the use of authentic power. This book is like a coaching manual on the journey of life. I will be purchasing several copies to give to women who have made an impact on my own life.

Summary: Make room for more joy!
Review: This motivational book is packed with many principles that will help you on the road to experience more joy. More joy results in more fun, more life, more time, more money, more peace, and so much more...

As you read the principles, your spirit, mind and body will be stimulated and motivated to reach out and take hold of your own joy. Though many of the principles are things we know, the author takes readers beyond our knowledge. She motivates us to study, understand, absorb and LIVE the principles that are applicable to our lives, individually. That's where the joy comes in - when you begin living what you know is best for you.

"Make space so that joy has a place" became my 2001 screensaver and daily reminder to purge and cleanse myself AND my house. You will surely get joy out of reading this wonderful book. It is also a resourceful handbook that you'll want to refer to, often.

Summary: Should Be A Part Of Every Home Library
Review: Truly excellent book. Get in touch with your sacred feminine self (the book mostly "speaks" to women, and black women in particular, but the recommendations, suggestions and styles are so that anyone can use them, believe in them, and get renewed sense of support and wellbeing). Check the table of contents of the book first, and pick titles of something that will get your day started and help you feel good, open, renewed and refreshed. Each piece is only about 1-2½ pages long so you read one when you wake up in the morning, on your lunch break, on the bus, are any time you need an uplifting anecdote. Very good to read when you are taking some solitary time to be alone. Her style of writing is wondrous, funny, charming, and enchanting. You'll learn how to be more open, receptive, and how to channel creative, positive, and negative energy in ways that can benefit you in all aspects of life (personal, financial, social, physically and emotional).

Review: Yes, this is a self-help book, but it's more than that. It's an adventure into living a richer, more meaningful and fulfilling life. This is a book to buy, tuck into your attache or purse, and read in spare moments to bring color, joy and appreciation back into your daily routine. I cannot possibly praise this book too highly, it is that good.
