Rating: Summary: This book is full of spiritual wisdom in simple form. Review: Everyone on their spiritual journey should read this book. It addresses most of the questions that come up for those of us who recognize that we are not merely human beings but are actually spiritual beings in physical form having this human experience. It is a wonderful teaching tool for those of us assisting others who are searching also. There is just one sentence that puzzles some of the people I have talked to about this book. It is on page 61 where Jesus says, "If you cut off the love in your heart to another because of conceptual differences, I will cut you off from my life, like a pruner would cut a branch that has no merit." When Jesus was on earth he was reported to have said some harsh things to some but he was in human form at that time. I would like very much to hear from the author about this particular sentence as I want to feel great about this entire book and perhaps he could help me feel better about this sentence if he could explain it to me.
Rating: Summary: hmn. Review: I just finished the book.
My advice, Please make sure that you have some close friends that are strongly rooted in reality to ensure that you return safely to the functioning outside world.I wouldn't recommend quitting your jobs or not eating unless you really think that is a better idea..
Rating: Summary: A Inner Reality that mankind has forgotten Review: I simply adore Ken Carey's ability to reach deep inside...past one's veneer to the utmost depths of their heart. I have scarcely been moved to such a degree by others writings as I have his. The being behind the words must truly be an iluminated spirit because such love is seldom found in many. I came away from this book KNOWING I was LOVED. Thank you for the experience KC...cosmicly speaking, Rose
Rating: Summary: Um... Review: I've never read this book, and it sounds a bit like a hippy book to me, but Our Lady Peace wrote a song about it and, in that respect, it's good. OLP forever!

Rating: Summary: The Starcheese Transmissions Review: Ugh. Where does this drivel come from? From the Heavens, of course! All I have to say is that I don't need the pseudo-existential ramblings of some sentient extraterrestrial--channelled, by the way, through a fever-stricken Carey (helllloooooo? its called DELERIUM! )--to recognize that western culture neglects the spirit and focuses too much attention on the physical, ie. materialism. What a concept! Omigod, Carey, you are, like, soooooo profound. If you are after a good read on pantheistic existentialism, without having to deal with the righteous Born-Again Christian ideology that Carey falls back to time and time again, try _Tao Te Ching_ by Lao-Tzu. The Stephen Mitchell translation flows very nicely, and it wont cause you to gag or close the pages in embarrassment for the author. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about _The Starseed Transmissions_.
