Rating: Summary: On a Clear Day... Review: I first read The Unobstructed Universe in 1972 at age 19, when starry-eyed cosmic questioning was as natural as breathing. Today, in the middle of my busy earth-focused middle-aged life, I'm amazed to realize that this book still resonates within. It alludes to concepts in areas of physics such as String Theory, a new and powerful framework for understanding the Universe. Not that it ever actually uses the language of modern physics (obviously), but the essence of what 21st century physics is only now beginning to see is there (see physicist Brian Greene's 1999 book, The Elegant Universe). For seekers of all ages, The Unobstructed Universe is a timeless gem.
Rating: Summary: A metaphysical classic. Excellent! Review: In and out of print for many years, this is one of the few, rare books that has the power to permanently expand the consciousness of its reader. Those who know and love Thaddeus Golas' LAZY MAN'S GUIDE TO ENLIGHTENMENT or the classic seminal work by Raynor C. Johnson, THE IMPRISONED SPLENDOUR, will fly with this one.

Rating: Summary: Perplexing Review: My late husband thought this was the greatest book ever written; changed his life, put his on his "spiritual" path, etc. I have tried to read it a zillion times since I met him in 1966 ... can't get past the first pages. If I am missing something, please e-mail me at polbdm@unm.edu.

Rating: Summary: Classic Metaphysics Review: Of the seven spiritual works by Western fiction author Stewart Edward White, this one is the most comprehensive and powerful. However, I recommend you read "The Betty Book" first. Some may very well take issue with the mode of enquiry (communications between Mr. White and his deceased wife, Betty)--I have my doubts about that too. But the metaphysical universe that White constructs (supposedly with Betty's guidance) is consistent, inspiring, and IMHO logical. It fills in gaps left in other metaphysical/cosmological systems. It makes a lot more sense, IMO, than other (e.g. the Seth) books do. I suggest, if the stated source offends you, that you just ignore that and, instead, look at the vision as a whole and see if it resonates with you. It does with me.
