Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Aesthetically Pleasant Review: As someone who does not particularly believe in magic I bought this tome because it appealed to the daydreamer in me. A real live spell book! In black and silver with secret sealed spells and a silver cord to tie the book shut! Inside the mixture of cartoons, photographs and 'stained' pages keep adding to the atmosphere. The content is enjoyable, relaying brief histories of magic. The actual spells, whether you believe in them or not, seem primarily aimed at women, and unless you're a dedicated user of magic, you probably won't be bothered to collect the ingredients and bury them etc. As a piece of art, the book succeeds.

Review: I choose this book because the cover of the book is very mystery. The cover is in black in colour, and the words writing on the book cover is in silver. It makes me fell mystical. I think it may be about some the witch, something about witchcraft. The type of the book is non-fiction. The author of this book is Nicola de Pulford. The book is providing some spell that helps you to improve your own way in love, work, and play. The book also introduces the things that related to spells. Such as what is the colour, the number and the stone stand for in magical way. I like this book is because this book is very interesting, it contains many different things of magic. I am very interested in magical things, also these things you never get in touch with before. I like reading this book is because pictures that inside the book are very colorful. When I reading the book it make me do not feel boring. The spells in the book are very interesting, because there are contain different country¡¦s spells in different times. For example, there has a spell that comes from ancient Mayan and old English etc. Because of this book contain many difficult words, I can learn many difficult words. This book is very suitable for the people that interested in something mystical. But the words in the book is quite difficult, so I think it may suitable junior college student. If you want to carry out some spells. I can tell you that the things that the spells need are difficult to find, such as Vervain leaves. It also needs a large space to carry out it. So the book may be just suitable the people that just interested in reading spells but not for the people who want to carry out.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Lovely and Inspiring Review: If you are a devotee of Titania Hardie than you will enjoy this book. It shares in common with Hardie's "Enchanted" a beautiful layout, rich illustrations and an overall attention to aesthetic detail. It is a pleasure to hold in the hand and to behold with the eye.To add to its grace, the content of the book is both useful and inspiring to the novice and the adept both. The spells are based on familiar ingredients and magical associations such as phases of the moon, candles, herbs, essential oils, colors, numbers and the use of one's will. Also, there is the creative use of beautiful and novel ingredients that, if you cannot obtain them, will inspire your own ingenuity. Something very valuable indeed to someone who has been doing this for years. Here is a quote from page 9: "Expensive accesories are not necessary; most ingredients can be found in a local store, garden, or home. The real magic is in your mind and its affinity with the tools you use. Everything in the world is at your disposal, to use and enjoy, on loan to you from nature, and ultimately to return to nature as you yourself will." I highly recommend this book.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Good For Beginners Review: This book is a good way to learn about craft and is a good book for people who know more than a little about "witchcraft", or a good book for kids who know a lot more, and want to do some really kick a** spells... but its not a good book for VERY experianced "witches". I reccomend this book because it has spells that really work, but they only work if you are serious, and are good at concentrating and BEING serious, not being wild and hiper during the spell... it is only for mature people who know what they are doing... It does require you go out shopping once in a while, or go to parks and get materials, but most of the things are things that most people already have on hand... Buy this book but be carful and use them right. HAVE FUN! ;)
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A wonderful first witchcraft book! Review: This is a wonderful book for any one! It was simply written, cute and UNDERSTANDABLE. We bought a different book ( our first one ) and it was a mistake. It was extremely confusing, having way to much information mixed together. This book has a wonderful author, ( who seems to understand what its like for a beginner trying to read a complecated book ), and she's made the spells simple and easy to follow. Definately a keeper!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Mysterious and informative but...some flaws Review: Well, when I first say this book I was really impressed by it's cover. I flipped through the pages and found that the illustrations were very cute and the information on celtic, african,(etc) magick was very interesting. But as I started to look through the spells, I saw that the ingredients were very hard to get. The spells themselves are easy, but the things that make them work are very diffitcult to get. But, if there is an occult store somewhere where you live or some great herb store, then this book would be great! Otherwise, you can just learn from it. :( :)
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A wonderful first witchcraft book! Review: Yes, this book is pretty. YES, it is a compilation of spells et al primary designed to show the author's ability to compile things. NO, it's not very useful. These spells are based on some silly ideas about how magick works, and while this book may make a good coffee table decoration, it's not a workbook and not useful as practice.
