Summary: Starry Starry Night
Review: As much as I rever Liz Greene and the amazing seminal work she has done in astrology in the last two decades, I do not believe this, her latest book, is her finest hour. Still, you have to give it to anyone who would approach the ultimte irrational planet with the rational. I found the book especially helpful for interpreting the way Neptune-ruled individuals fall desperately and hopelessly in love with an unattainable object ... and with little hope of redemption. Without this understanding, you might just think they were masochistic. I recall a member of one of my classes who was ecstatic to have found his soul mate. The rest of the class was curious to discover he had not seen her for over 10 years. Well, read this book and find out why Neptunians don't need a body to fall in love.

Summary: Not Constructive
Review: Even though this book contains a "cookbook" section, I cannot overemphasize that Liz Greene does not write for people who want quick, easy one-liners to predict whether or not they will hit the state lottery. You had better have not only a minimum technical competence in astrology (i.e., you don't NEED "cookbooks", ironically), but also be flexible with your thinking. If you expect astrology to tell you the date you will marry, have your first son, etc., then Liz Greene is definitely not for you.

Summary: Liz Does it Again!
Review: I found this Greene book to be a bit tedious. It's filled with great information and explores the byways of Neptune in a way that's almost too exhaustive. It's a Neptunian experience to read it. I found it valuable to just open the book anywhere and read from there at times. It brought more Neptune into play! Overall, any of Liz Greene's works belong in the library of the serious Western astrology student.

Summary: Liz Greene finally bottles fog and markets it!
Review: Liz Greene is a modern day astrological wonder! Among her many books and lectures, she has taken the fear and frustration out of the outer planets and their effect on the planet earth. She is the female messiah..just wait and see!

Summary: Greene's Neptune is the best book on the subject I've read.
Review: Liz Greene is my favorite astrology writer and I think this is one of her best books. She has a highly sophisticated psychological and astrological understanding and is a gifted writer. There were some sections where I felt she was able to "describe" water, which is the slippery, fluid, ever-changing essence of Neptune. Another bonus is Ms. Greene's command of history and mythology, which puts everything in perspective.

Summary: If you want to really understand Neptune, this is your book!
Review: The very nature of Neptune in the horoscope is so vague, foggy and ethereal that it defies organized description. Instead of attempting this, although there is a "cookbook" section in the back of the book, Liz Greene uses words to allow you to *experience* Neptune. As with the other transpersonal planets, Pluto and Uranus, understanding how Neptune operates in individuals and relationships is crucial. This is not a good book for beginning astrologers, or for anyone who doesn't prefer or enjoy a psychological approach to the subject. For those who do and have some experience with the language of astrology, you'll love it!

Summary: Absolutely Incredible
Review: This book is a comprehensive material to learn about Neptune. You can study Neptune's myth and application to several horoscopes of various artists and nations, including Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Schumann, Leonard da Vinci, USA, China and Germany. Serious astrological students would be pleased with encountering this book.

Summary: A masterpiece. A must read for all "Neptunians."
Review: This book is nothing short of amazing. Beautifully and intelligently written, it manages to skillfully reveal the complex and nebulous meanings of Neptune through the use of myth, psychology, astrology, history, insight, and compassion. I would recommend it even to those not interested in astrology, as it has great insights to offer those who have ever experineced such common human experiences as a troubled relationship, a profound yearning, or a spiritual crisis.

Summary: Understanding a Chimera
Review: This work about Neptune is stunningly good and absolutely beautiful. Liz Greene does it again! All parts of the planet are discussed in depth; poetical, mythological, astrological and practical. (I suppose one can't describe Neptune any other way except "in depth").

I highly recommend this to you!

Summary: Absolutely Incredible
Review: When does Liz Greene have time to do all she does!! The amount of information packed into this tome is phenomenal. The writing of this book would be a lifetime achievement for any author, but this book is just another of many books. She just keeps on getting better. What a wonderful legacy Liz could leave behind if she could do this with each of the planets!! (Hint. Hint.) This may be the most in-depth astrology book published on any one planet. The last few chapters on interpretations of Neptune in the houses, Neptune in aspects, and Neptune in synastry is worth the price of the book alone.
