Summary: 5 Stars is All?????
Review: Blessed be the spinner of the universe for giving us Caitlin Matthews! If you want a book to guide you DAILY on your path toward Celtic spirituality, this is it. I read from it morning and evening, and take it with me whenever I leave home. It is both comforting and thought-provoking! Companioned with Caitlin Matthews' The Celtic Spirit: Daily Meditations for the Turning Year, you have an infinite supply of daily and special devotionals as well as Celtic lore with meditation suggestions.

Summary: Blessed Daily Weavings
Review: Caitlin Matthews proves herself once again as a pre-eminent wisdomkeeper of our ancient Celtic inheritance with the release of Celtic Devotional. Mirroring the ancient formulaic prayers to the elements found in the Celtic tradition, along with the wondrous invocations and declarations of the bards of the Scottish, Irish and Welsh traditions, Celtic Devotional provides a numinous doorway through which the modern person can re-invest their life with meaning within the twilight times of dusk and dawn. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Summary: A Healing Connection to the Magic of the Real World
Review: Ever since I can remember, I've had a strong connection to nature and it's changes, places wild and tame that have somehow fed my spirit, my difficult Irish spirit. I never lost it through the onslaught of freeways, florescent lighting, technology and science spinning out of control... I could still feel the Other, it's cadences surfacing in my own poetry -- but now I've stumbled on this wonderful little book, more than a book, surely a part of the song of my own heart! Organized around the Wheel of the Celtic Year it wakes you to glory and sings you to a starry sleep, calls you to the beauty all around and inside. I just hope Ms. Matthews knows what a wonderful gift she has given us all.

Summary: Fills a need for your everyday routine made holy
Review: For those of you who may be skeptical about this as a "new age" gaullimaufry of whimsy or wistfulness, be assured that this little guide helps you direct your meditations and actions effectively--out of navel-gazing into both the natural and what for most of us is the artificial, urban, mundane world.

A helpful counterpart for Alexei Kondratiev's more detailed explanations of Celtic Reconstructionism in his book on context and ritual, "The Apple Branch" aka "Celtic Rituals." Combined, the two work well to explain the Celtic worldview in a sensible, ethical, and outwardly-focused manner, in a way that both a monotheist and a more "flexible" seeker could appreciate.

I rarely give five stars, but as reviewers have noted, this little vademecum ("Take me with you!") satisfies a way to make the rather daunting erudition of Kondrateiv a bit more digestible in a recommended daily requirement dose!

Summary: This is a book I've given to all my children
Review: I bought this book for myself. I found myself buying copies for my children and my friends. Hopefully one day, my children's children will take comfort and joy from this lovely devotional. I have friends who have copied portions to comfort relatives in times of loss, and others who have copied portions to remember life is good and filled with joy. I am thankful, it is back in stock!

This book goes by the four major Celtic holidays Samhain,Imbloc,Beltaine, and Lughnasadh. It has devotionals for each day and inside each season. They have extra devotionals at the end of the book.

Summary: This is my daily devotional book

Summary: Making Every Day Sacred
Review: This is a wonderful book. In modern times we have lost the sacredness of every day activities and Celtic Devotionals helps us reclaim it. The prayers for soul-protection are lovely, and everyone should take time out to answer the Solar Questrions and think on the Lunar Meditations. This book has found its way into my own daily devotions and I plan on useing it for family devotion when I have children. I cannot say enough for this book.
