Summary: An insult to the art and craft of Tarot
Review: As a Tarot reader and teacher for over 30 years I find this deck insulting to the art of Tarot and possibly harmful to the querent. It reduces a great divination system to the level of cootie catchers or the Magic 8 Ball. Sure, telephone psychics can use it when they know nothing about Tarot, but are they then calling themselves Tarot Readers simply because they can read the words off of a card? For this a client is spending $3.99/hour?! There are great books available on the Tarot. Please, take a decent class, sign up for TarotL at yahoogroups, or go to a Tarot Conference and learn what Tarot is really about.

Summary: An insult to the art and craft of Tarot
Review: Decent for phone-a-psychics. Really bad art work. I could have drawn these, but if you're on the phone nobody else can see them. Descriptions are kind of repetitive. Similar descriptions for diffrent cards. I did like that it had the reverse meanings printed and it comes with a neat little phamplet about the history of tarot. Dont use these as a script, you still will have to make up a lot. I would have had less art work and more explinations.

Summary: I recommend this deck to all phone readers I hire.
Review: I hire readers for PRN, the largest Reader Network out there and I ALWAYS recommend that they purchase this deck to use in their telephone readings. It's easy to use, there are no books to look through for meanings of the cards. It means alot to the callers when you are not stumbling through a book while trying to give a caller a good reading. In my years of experience with this type of work, I have also found that the meanings on the cards are extremely accurate. I definetely recommend this deck to anyone just learning the Tarot as well as for those who are already knowledgable in this area. Also, if you are thinking about getting into this type of telephone work, GET THIS DECK! You won't regret it.

Summary: A neat little set
Review: I mainly became interested in Tarot by researching practicing magic in order to make my fantasy writing more believable. I thought this set was really handy because the booklet includes basic instructions on laying out the cards and their relationship with one another, as well as providing an overview of the history of Tarot cards and the story of the cards themselves. The cards themselves include brief explanations of the meaning of each card in both the upright and reverse positions. Altogether, I found it easy to grasp. I was able to perform my first reading within a few minutes of finishing the instruction book.

Summary: Great For Phone Readers
Review: I think this is a great way for phone readers to be able to keep there mind on the reading and not wrapped up in the cards. It gives you a good starting point to learn what the cards mean to you. It is also nice for people who have read for a long time becuase everyone has moments of blankness. The pictures are simplistic which helps you keep on track and not distracted by the art work. So, far I have not found a better deck for reading on the phones.

Summary: This is the best deck for beginners or phone readers.
Review: I use this deck with my on-line Mystery School students. It works beautifully because the meanings are printed right on the cards. No fumbling thru the little booklet, frantically trying to associate meaning to picture. This helps your mind make that association all the quicker! And for folks who do telephone card readings for their clients, there is no other deck. If you get a brain cramp, again, the meaning suggestions, like a cue-card, are right there in front of you. The artwork isn't as pretty as some of the new decks, but that's because this one is based on the oldest existing deck, Marseilles, currently in a Museum in France. The minor arcana is primitive, too, but again it's a nice kind of primitive-ness harking back to the days when all students of the Tarot had to draw, paint and create their own Tarot decks. What a job that must have been. This deck's art looks like that---created by an everyday person, you or me. (Unless you're an artist, that is!) Yet, all the symbols and colors are accurate and visible. I recommend this deck to anyone who is self-conscious or worried about their skill. You can use this deck to do readings, even play poker or other card games with as you memorize the meanings and get a feel for the Tarot. Then you switch to a more artistic, more beautiful deck with no meanings anywhere in sight---except nicely stored in your mind's library!

Summary: There are not "accidents"
Review: This is a great deck for beginner and pro alike. There are no accidents in life, as you will discover for yourself when you begin using tarot cards. One word of caution: any good tarot reader will tell you that it is almost impossible to read for yourself. That's why we, the readers at [keen], consult each other when we have "feelings" that we need verified. My personal recommendation is that you have a reading no more often than every 3-4 weeks. Otherwise you find that you dilute the meaning and energy of events.

This deck is the perfect way to begin your journey into the study of the tarot, which means "hidden knowledge". The oldest known tarot deck is 15th Century Italian. There must be a reason they've been around so long: they work!

You will find, once you become familiar with the meanings of the cards, that you will be drawn to continue your journey and delve into other decks. Take your time and find one that "speaks" to you. The artwork on tarot decks is meant to spur your intuition.

Best of luck with this great deck and happy reading!

Summary: Starter Tarot Deck
Review: This is an excellent beginners' tool. If you have absolutely no idea how to read Tarot cards, you can do a reading in less than 10 minutes. The instructions are so simple and the accuracy is shocking. This is a good set of cards.
