Rating: Summary: more absurdity Review: ---- Ruth Montgomery passed over in June 2001. Ruth Montgomery's last book is a fascinating look at the next decade and the beginning of the millennium of peace. Ruth motivation for writing another, final book is to allay the fear people have about death, especially the fear they feel of the impending shift of the planet on its axis - delayed to about 2012, and much less damage than was thought, thanks to our improving morals - look at the change in New York City in the 1990s! The pivot point of the shift looks like Minneapolis, Mn., so Florida (pushed into the Gulf) and the northern-central coast of California (pushed into the Pacific at about 140MPH) will not survive- but New York City will, despite the 90-100MPH winds on the east coast. Cayce's safety lands- Ohio, Indiana and most of Illinois will hardly know its happened, until the sun rises in the north-east that morning.
Rating: Summary: She just goes on and on...... Review: I had read all of Ruth Montgomery's books by the time I was 15.... and many many years later ... I simply never thought to wonder if she was still out there. Her last books from the 70's had pictures of her looking so old and ancient as she was, I just assumed she had passed on long ago..... Then I stumbled upon this book!! Flipped out of my mind I bought it right there and read it in about an hour (its quite small). The much needed final chapter to her life's work... Thanks Ruth.
Rating: Summary: more absurdity Review: I've read this book & Ruth's last one, HERALD OF THE NEW AGE. In her last one, written in the mid-80s, she predicted that the planet would shift on its axis around the year 2000. It didn't happen, and in this newer book she claims that God changed his mind about that (guess he had a big golf-match or something). Now she's moved that prediction up to 2010 or later. This book proclaims that she and her friends knew Jesus in a past-life (delusions of grandeur). It also has predictions about the "Antichrist" & a "walk-in" president. I wouldn't waste money on this author's books. If the concept of reincarnation appeals to you, read books on Hinduism or Buddhism. What I find really humorous about Ruth's books is they have it all: UFOs & aliens, Atlantis, magic crystals & rebirth, Jesus & Satan, world predictions, etc. She hits all categories, hoping to snare many gullible readers (or maybe she's gullible & actually believes what she writes). I'd avoid anything by psychics or channelers, They seem to be either deluded or cons.
Rating: Summary: Earth Shift Alert Posponed! Review: In the mid 1980's, (certainly with the help of the Guide's forecast) I perhaps spent more time and energy than I should have with being concerned about the possible "Axis Shift" of the Earth which had been predicted by the Guides and Edgar Cayce as possibly happening around 1998-99. Now here we are, in the Year 2000, and the prediction of this "tilt" of the Earth (which the Guides still maintain WILL happen and cannot be stopped by human intervention) will not occur until maybe 2013 at the earliest! I've read and enjoyed all of Ruth's books as well, but this one reads more like a gossip letter from an old friend than a compelling book. Be careful not to worry or prepare too soon for such a catastrophic event, because who knows?, by 2013 it might be delayed for another 10 or 20 years again. I've enjoyed reading the commentary from Arthur Ford, Lily and the Guides, but their prognostications are far from infallible. Didn't they suggest once that the shift might have happened by now, and that Ruth would not be alive to see it? Please don't get too caught up in it. Also, I did not care that much for all of the historical figures from the Jesus Era who are purportedly reincarnated (and acquainted) in America today. This book is really for die-hard Ruth fans who needed an encore.

Rating: Summary: Long Live Ruth Review: Ruth is great, and I love her books even though I don't buy all of her beliefs and predictions. In fact, when reading books such as Ruth's or those on Edgar Cayce or Nostradamus, we should recognize that such prophecies of future catastrophic events are not written in stone. They can be either symbolic or may only represent future possibilities, rather than forecast impending doom. We have the power to determine our future, and avoid catastrophe. That fact is established in a very mportant book titled Real Prophecy Unveiled. It provides a very realistic and credible view of prophecy that we can celebrate. It explains how and why the myths of an "end of the world" and a "second coming" were created and perpetuated. It explains the fulfillment of prophecy and delivers a message designed to liberate and empower the people in a way we have only dreamed of. In fact, Ruth would love it. Granted, books like Ruth's are great. But even the greatest Seer often sees only possibilities and probabilities. And it is now very important to understand that real prophecy foretells that God's "new kingdom" will be established on the earth and "last forever, never to be destroyed."(Daniel 2:44, Revelation 11:15, Psalm 104:5, etc.) Additionally, the proud and militant will be brought low, and the humble, faithful and meek shall actually inherit the earth. That's what real prophecy is all about, thank God.
Rating: Summary: A thought-provoking book from a favorite author Review: This is Ruth Montgomery's final book concerning the New Age and messages from her Guides. I've derived great inspiration from her books since the 1970's. In this end-of-the-millenium conclusion to her series, the Guides revise the most drastic of their predictions, and Ruth recounts some of their earlier predictions, underscoring their remarkable accuracy so far. The book reveals that the main factor that has kept the Guides from 100 percent accuracy has been the pace of evolutionary development of mankind -- evidently, the faster the human race rises to its higher potential, the more completely the predicted disasters can be forestalled, reduced in intensity, or eliminated completely. Apparently, progress along these lines in the last decade has made a huge difference. And this leads me to my only (minor) complaint about the book -- throughout the book, Ruth sprinkles predictions made by the Guides in the past decade, but usually fails to mention the exact year in which each of the messages was delivered. Perhaps this omission wouldn't have mattered if the book had been written 20 years ago. But the appearance of the future seems to be changing quite rapidly now and I think than a prediction made in 1992 is far less likely to be accurate that one made in 1998. Anyway, I don't wish to take anything away from the great value of this book. The message it contains is inspiring, informative, and a fitting completion to a 30-year career of uplifting service to our ever-growing community of truth-seekers.
Rating: Summary: Read eight of Ruth's books and kept wanting more... Review: Working in a book store in 1982 Ruth Montgomery's book "A Search For Truth" literally dropped in my hands from three shelves above me. The title caught my eye immediately because at the time I was searching for answers. From the moment I began reading I could not put the book down. Ruth has a way of writing that holds you captive. I read eight of her books after that and all were just as good as the first. Ruth Montgomery introduces topics of a metaphysical nature to her readers in such a way that make sense and sound logical. She is believable. Ruth is a great teacher on topics covering reincarnation, past lives, life after life, walk-ins, and the list goes on. Long before the rest of us would develop our insights in the late 90s and into the new century, Ruth was an original writing on subjects that during her days were considered too bizarre. Ruth is a pioneer in the field of metaphysics. Her books were written to bring us enlightment. This last book is a blessing to the ones that have enjoyed her previous writings. Reading Ruth's books were like having a friend that understood you and helped you find the answers to questions which were often crossing your mind, but never fully understood. Finding Ruth Montgomery's newist book after 12 years, I was not going to pass up the chance to enjoy my old friend again. For those that do not understand, or do not quite follow what she has written in a "World to Come" I strongly suggest reading all her books and coming back to this one. You will not be disappointed.
