Rating: Summary: Instant Mind Expansion Review: Great book, one of the most informative and enjoyable reads I have ever come across. Brought me to an understanding straight away and I was able to obtain results from the word go after reading this. Fantastic!!
Rating: Summary: Theory and Practice Review: Hi, all. This is really a reply to reader from Texas asking about results. I have read Wilde for many years and have always found him to be as brilliant as he is courageous -- but he is very subjective. If you are looking for an objective, results-oriented, step-by-step "how to" may I suggest you track down the works of an author who wrote under the name Ophiel. Alas, most of Ophiel's material is out of print, but you can probably find (at least) his "Art and Practice of Astral Projection" online. Good luck, and keep at at it. Best regards, JM
Rating: Summary: revelations in a darkened forest. Review: It is Stuart's retelling of a fascinating shamanistic experience he had in an English forest that made this book a must read for me. During the experience he encounters powerful nature spirits and the darkened corners of the human psyche. His revelations are so deep and shocking that he pleads to be given an antidote to this "tree wisdom". Instead he is assailed with additional revelations that prove cathartic to his life.
Rating: Summary: Potent and surprisingly entertaining Review: It was a surprising read because while you're learning something useful it's also wildly entertaining. He's extremely funny, almost like a stand-up comedian but with empathy. It's engaging no matter what stage of the game you're in--whether you've been studying metaphysics forever, or you just saw "The Sixth Sense" movie and thought it was cool. The techniques are fun and fairly easy to do. You're not wondering forever "Am I doing this right?" The book also covers lots of other quirky things like UFO's, the shadow self, fairy kingdoms--needless to say, you're never bored. Also, it seems his intention is not only to teach you, but to help you help others--a nice added bonus. Enjoy it--you'll love it.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read for all New Age Believers....... Review: Once again, Stuart Wilde has opened the door into the metaphysical realm and in his uniquely humorous style teaches us to put these mysterious forces to work in the real world. This wonderful book takes you down the New Age boulevard of hot topics and in typical Wilde wisdom and humor, explains it all in simple, if not sometimes quasi-scientific "rationalifics" which not only make sense after reading, but really work in the real world. UFO's, druids, fairies, NDE's, kundalini, quantum mathmatics and intuition are just a few of the stops along the way. Wilde leaves you not only with a real understanding of the mysterious, but also teaches you to use your understanding to find happiness, make a lot of money and kick back and relax about it all in his typical irreverent way. I laughed as I read it, then using my new found wisdom went right out and manifested a little happiness in my own life. Don't pass this one over!
Rating: Summary: THE GUY IS VERY CLOSED MINDED ON SOMETHINGS IN MY VIEW! Review: The book was ok but the author consantly talked about grey aliens in it. Saying they are demonic. If he was truely psychic and intouch with the univers he would know everthing that happens in a persons life even the bad things is because they agread for it to happen on the other side. Besides not all those grey aliens are mean and the ones that are kind of is because they have no perseption of good and bad. Besides when most abductees think they have had a negitive experience, it isn't that it was negitive it is just that it was so mind expanding that their rational mind couldn't exept it fully and made them forget alot of it. He says in the book why don't they just land if they are trying to help us. Anyone with a rashonal mind would know that if they did they would be shot. Think about how bad people reacted last time they thought they landed even though it was just a radio prank. They don't want us reacting in that way to them. The majority of them are very pieceful. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't even believe in god. I wouldn't be involved in all of this esp stuff either. He paints a stairiotype that all the aliens especily the greys are evil. So in my view not only is this author not near as intouch with the parinormal side of the world as he leads you to believe but also he is an extraterrestrial racist. I kind of hope that the author sees this review and maybe rethinks his ideas but he probably wont do either.
Rating: Summary: There are no shortcuts to knowing yourself Review: The problem that I have which most of the books that belong to the category of how to treat yourself out of your self imposed limitations and perceptions of the world, is that their authors are in your same process, so in the next edition of in a future work will tell you that maybe what they teach you with so much conviction was wrong, an worst, that they are still drinking heavily or depressed or just point blank clueless. At least Mr. Wilde is funny but many passages of the book are contradictory, and that is troublesome for someone who likes to guide. To where? he is not too sure yet.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful, practical, compassionate, life changing book. Review: The Sixth Sense is a special piece of work that has added value and meaning to my life. If it does half as much for you, you've found something special. If you have read many self-help books and personal development books (even the good ones that focus on principle centered living and character development, rather than ego fuelling techniques and quick fixes), yet feel there is "something" missing from the picture, then "The Sixth Sense" is for you. The "missing link" may well be in your spiritual development, as it was in my case, having turned from a determined aetheist to a spiritual believer. To get a grounding I would strongly recommend Stuart's earlier books first, the infamous "TAOS QUINTET"; five books the first one being; "Affirmations". Stuart's friendly, humourous, compassionate, sensitive and practical approach is totally engaging. If the subject of Spirituality is new to you as it was to me, you will find this stuff challenges your core beliefs derived from childhood and mainstream society, but let it. An open-mind that reads this work will be touched and expanded in a most positive way. What have you got to lose? Don't miss out.
Rating: Summary: A practical guide Review: This book is great. It's a guide book for getting what Wilde calls your "etheric" moving. The etheric is also called the "subtle body," the "spirit," etc. The excercises are quite interesting and entertaining. One particular exercise suggests projecting your "etheric" self about twenty yards away and then shifting your awareness or perception back and forth between your body and the etheric body. This is a great book for getting better at "feeling" the world around you, connecting with people on a deeper level, and understanding more of yourself and others. I was particularly helped by his advice about dreams and interpreting them. Excellent read!
Rating: Summary: I Want to see if People are Actually Having Results Review: This is the second of Stuart Wilde's books I have read. The first one being "Miracles." Since reading, I have purchased 7 more of his books. All of his work is truly mind expanding. Stuart has experienced things in his life that I could never even dream possible. In this book, the author gives detailed accounts of life in other dimensions, along with some useful exercises you can try. Of particular interest is a detailed discussion about the "death tube" or what people claim to see during near death experiences. Stuart discusses how one can experience this without having a near death experience. Although to experience most of these things, one needs to be in a meditive state. I would purchase a book on meditation if you haven't already done so. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who would like to expand their mind!!
