Rating: Summary: Open any page at random and start reading! Review: Do you know how there are some moments that are so magical in your life, you wish you could go back and live them over? That's how I feel about "The Nature of Personal Reality." Honestly I don't know how many times I have read this book through from cover to cover. Such is the amazing impact it has had on me and my view of the world. It has influenced everything from how I interact with others to why I became an author.People can be funny about the "Seth books." I recommend them all, and "The Nature of Personal Reality" in particular. Yet I also realize that some people aren't quite ready for Seth. That's okay. Many of the concepts will seem so radical, so revolutionary, that they can be a bit much to take at first. The more you read Seth, the more you understand. And the beauty of this book is that it has almost become the "Bible" for the whole New Age movement. In fact, after you read it through once, do what I do. Take the book down from the shelf, open it at random, and start reading. Almost always you will discover that the passage you chance upon has some personal meaning to you. This is the secret to really getting the most out of "The Nature of Personal Reality."
Rating: Summary: Form Follows Intent Review: Finally! What a breath of fresh air. I am almost finished with Seth's book. It's like an operations manual for correct living. We are given solid answers to never-before-answered questions. What life? What you? Why do so many things go wrong even when I am thinking positively? Why does life go "well" for some and not for others? Why are there so many earth changes and upheavals going on at the present time? The answer is in the way you think about life. Your present beliefs/thoughts determine the outcome of your present life which in turn affects your past and future. Collectively, enough of us thinking this same way will make the world a very special place. Finally, we can do something truly constructive with our lives. I am so thankful for Seth speaking through Jane Roberts in their very careful efforts to show us how to become all that we can be.
Rating: Summary: Openmindness about Life and the Afterlife! Review: I bought all the Seth's books. I took an after life journey six years ago, and what Seth Speaks, and is discribing, is the truth of our lives now and also what we are after we pass over to the other side. If you saw the movie Ghost, that is exactly what I was doing on the other side, only all the evil that was in the movie wasn't there. How I traveled and how I was brought back is so truly amazing. There are many, many companions that will be with you. I didn't know that I had died, until I woke up from a coma three days later. My son Bill had told me that I had died. What a shock!!! I was dead for thirty minutes. I've been doing a lot of research and reading, to try and find out what was my purpose for my death. I've read some very interesting books, The DiVinci Code and The Templar Revelation, and then, Seth Speaks. I was so impressed with the book, I bought all the other Seth books. I'm finally finding the purpose of my death. Seth is giving the truth about realities of life and afterlife. Who we are and what we are. How we can live life, and how we can mess up our lives. It's truly beautiful what he is writing through Jane Roberts, and the truth about the beyond. I look at life and the humans that inhabit life and wonder what we are doing to ourselves. I judge no one!!!! What I experienced when I died is so mind boggling, that all I desire is to read Seth books, because I know he is being truthful and honest with his writings and experiences from the afterlife. We don't die, we carry on in spirit form or energy form. We remember everything, past and present. If you really want to know about the truth of life and the truth of the afterlife, read Seth's books. The truth is told by Seth. It's beautiful and full of wisdom and understanding of now and after life.
Rating: Summary: My Bible Review: I'm sorry to offend anyone, but I consider this book to be my bible...I have read this book so many times that I couldn't fathom to count. The information presented in this book is being proved daily with discoveries in quantum physics and on TV. I can remember seeing a story on a popular news program about transplant patients taking on some of the characteristics of the organ donor. Guess what? Seth talks about the fact that each of our cells have its own consciousness. Each time I read the book or Seth's other material the material goes deeper and deeper into my core. Reading the book actually opened me up to OBE type experiences with the buzzing in the ear and the like. I am a faithful and this knowledge has done wonders for me in my health, happiness and career. It sometimes takes a few reads to totally grasp the concepts but once you do you are well on your way in life. I would love to get my hands on a hardback of this book. Good Luck Readers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: It should be a required reading for all hypnotherapists Review: I've been planning to read this book for years before I actually got to it and I'm very glad I read it. One of the reasons I was postponing reading this book is that I generally don't rush to buy "channelled" books - there are very few of those that I really like and this one is one of them.
It's a good book from from the perspective of psychology, metaphysics, and hypnosis - and even if you are well-versed in these areas and you know them inside out, you can still benefit from reading this book.
The book deals in great depth with beliefs. As a hypnotherapist and metaphysician, I am extremely well-aware of the role they play in creating one's experience of reality and it is amazing that there are no hypnosis books that have dealth so thoroughly and insightfully with beliefs (nope, not even Dilts' book on Beliefs).
Now that I've read this book - I think it should be a required reading for all hypnotherapists.
Rating: Summary: Life changing philosopy Review: I've now read both "Seth Speaks" and "The Nature of Personal Reality". Of the two I would have to say this is the better, However, both are excellent. This is a work largely concerned with abstract, philosophical issues regarding our true nature and the even the construct of reality itself. Seth's approach may prove to be among the most accurate out of a great many ideas, theories and myths that mankind has postulated over the millennia. In this regard it is the broadest reaching concept of reality that I've yet to come across, and one that is capable of nesting all other such concepts under it's mighty wings. A note of caution is in order, however. If you've not yet established a moral compass in your own personal journey then this book will do little to help you achieve that. Far better to refer to perhaps the Bible or some other such text to gain an education in such matters. Without such an orientation this information will do little to prevent you from squandering your time on earth. With a broader understanding in regard to the purpose and evolution of consciousness, however, this book can become a very dear friend indeed. I know it has directly benefited my life and helped me to consider my own belief system in an entirely new light. I've even witnessed subtle changes for the better in my behavior during the time I was studying this material. Changes I might add that I did not try to bring about, but were produced automatically as my belief system also changed. I've no way to discern just how much of this information is accurate. Yet, certain dreams states and other personal experiences I've had attest to it's validity. I truly hope that all who read this work will put it to it's best possible use, not only to better their own selves, but to serve and heal others as well. (Peace)
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK ON REALITY I HAVE EVER READ Review: If your life isn't going where you want it to, read this book. It's a primer for human existence.
Rating: Summary: Truly deep insights into life's reality Review: In the 1970s, Jane's guide Seth opened people's minds to the fact that they create their own reality through their beliefs, thoughts and emotions. He went on to detail how each person can transform their life into a new, fulfilling reality.
Rating: Summary: It's Not "You Are What You Eat" Review: it's: You Are What You Think. Reading the other reviews there is not too much more I can say that my 5-Star rating doesn't already convey to you. This is a powerful book. If reading about channeling isn't your thing, try picking up a Deepak Chopra book, namely Creating Affluence (in all areas of your life, not just money). It's an almost obvious message when you read this book. Try remembering when you were younger and you'd watch movies, etc. about curses and someone wise would say something like, "If you believe it, then it WILL happen. So stop worrying." Well, I guess these basic thought patterns have always been there, but Seth will help you to see that it applies to everthing and everybody.
Rating: Summary: Who wouldn't recommend this book? Review: There is so much to think about, to integrate into one's life, in this book! A friend read a couple of paragraphs to me and I had to buy the book. Then, I read a couple of paragraphs to others and THEY had to read the book. I will never forget the things I learned here. Another thing -- you really feel the book is so honest, so kind, that it is beyond human weakness and pettiness, so its advice is easy to take. I had heard about Seth for years but didn't understand what it was all about, nor was I very interested. Now, I believe that from the time Jane Roberts started channelling Seth, to now (2001), this work has infiltrated the world and helped to make it a better place, helped to make people more compassionate and live their individual dreams. It certainly has helped me. For that I am truly grateful.
