Review: This book is a must for any serious student of tantra.The information contained is presented in an academic fashion without intimidating the reader.The author presents enough to make his points,complete his lesson,or just impart fact about Tantra without losing the meaning.Great stuff about prayers,yantras,cosmology,and a load more about Tantra.A fantastic book I highly recommend!

Summary: too complicated for those new in Tantra and magick
Review: This is one of the best books I have seen on Tantra dealing with the Hindue pantheon. This is all too much for a beginner to take in at one time. I mean the auther puts a lot in it. The information is awesome but can be overwhelming for a beginner. I would only reccomend this to a beginner if the student would read it slowly and carefuller or else she/he will not get too much out of it. I love the color plates and you can use these for meditation and tantric purposes unless you feel you are crafty enough to make your own mandalas. He lists the 10 Mahavidya mandalas and in the end section he has instructions for Ganesha Puja. This is not your everyday book on Tantra nor is it filled with useless garbage. The man knows his stuff pretty well.

Summary: A Poison Pill in a Candy Wrapper
Review: To undertake rituals and practices that harness forces that one cannot perceive is more dangerous than Russion Roulette: the use of energy (voice, emotion, thought, sex) produces undeniable results, but to PERCEIVE those results directly requires certain skills that are completely atrophied in common individuals. Be aware: there are many forces that one cannot see physically (x-rays, microwaves, infrared light, atoms, etc.) and there are intelligences that one cannot perceive physically; the use of Mantra is an interaction with those forces, and to use Mantra in ignorance (or simply from reading a book) is foolish, especially when one is doing so in order to fulfill desire, lust, anger, pride, ambition, envy, jealousy, etc. Be aware: there are three kinds of Tantrism: White, Grey and Black. Black Tantra is the method to feed desire, to build desire, to fulfill the Instinctive Mind, and to create unimaginable karmic debts for oneself. White Tantra teaches the Elimination of Desire, the conquering of lust and pride, and the purification of the mind and heart. Grey Tantra mixes them, and inevitably leads to Black Tantra, as the weight of the Ego is so heavy in humanity. Read "The Mystery of the Fire, " "The Perfect Matrimony," and "The Mystery of the Golden Blossom" by Samael Aun Weor to find out more. These texts are the first physical revelation of the true nature of Tantrism. No where in the East or West will you find more direct, compelling information.
