Rating: Summary: Intense Inspiring Insightful! Review: This book challenges any predisposed notion of the relationship between modern society and religion. The author very cleverly paints a vivid and agonizing picture of how acting on impulse can alter the course of destiny and how the ripple effect of ones actions can effect the lives of many - even generations. The story is told through both the eyes and actions of Keith (K.C.) - powerful but flawed young black man. I can't wait for the Mr. Ayala's next writing project. He is in the genre of E. Lynn Harris and James Earl Hardy... J.E.M.
Rating: Summary: Split Second Decisions Review: This is a wonderful book of life. From the rich to the poor E.L.Ayala depicts characters that everyone can identify with. I asked myself are these really their "choices" or circunstances beyoud their control. It is always easier for an outsider to say "I would not have done this" or " I would have done this" but the truth of it is that "we" don't know what we would or would not do in certain situations until we ourselves are in it. You learn that from living. However they are then given an opportunity to make a "choice".And they do. We all have an angel assigned to us, sometimes we don't recognize them. But the angel is discovered in the least likely places. This is a reminder for us to be more compasionate and not so quick to judge. I applaude E.L. AYALA for a book well written Ben is the character I most liked. His unconditional love. The spirit within. We all have an angel assigned to us , how many come to recognized that?
