Summary: Oh, Please..........
Review:
This woman knows NOTHING about druidism. PERIOD.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Less exploitive than McCoy or Conway..
Review: ..this book still misses the boat on the truth about the celts, or Wicca, for that matter.

Don't combine the two until you understand them both separately!

Summary: Has Everything
Review: I really couldn't put this book down. It covered everything from Celtic, to Wicca to the Fey.

The visualizations at the end of each chapter are exceptional.
I plan to use them very soon.

It was a very enjoyable read.

Summary: Lots of information, well-written and fascinating
Review: I thought this book has lots of information, was well-written and was fascinating. It gave a overview of everything Celtic that I was interested in. I am new to paganism and I didn't know very much about the Celts or Celtic Wicca before I read this book. The bibliography led me to other terrific books on Celtic spirituality, too. Knight has put it all together in this fine book. I also read Knight's book called Exploring Celtic Druidism, and really liked it, too. Both books have really helped me on my pagan path.

Summary: Good background on Celtic spirituality
Review: Sirona's way of approaching to Celtic spirituality is more of a wiccan way. Although I am not a wiccan, I recommend this book to wiccans as well as to druids and to those who follow the feri tradition. This book is a nice introductory to Celtic spirituality, however you might want to read more practical books about the path you're following because this book is not a "how- to" book and doesn't really talk about magic. Sirona's language is really friendly, understandable and she doesn't claim that her way is the only way. However, I thought she overemphasized the concept of "oneness" whose relevance to ancient Celtic spirituality is debatable.

Summary: Best book I've read lately about the Celts, Faery, & Druids
Review: This book is the best book I've read lately about the Celts, Faery, Druids, Celtic Gods, and Celtic Wicca. Sirona Knight covers all of these subjects in-depth and with intelligence. She obviously spent a great deal of time writing this book, and the information in it is both scholarly and experiential. She writes about the origins of the Celts, who the Druids and Faery are, and she also gives plenty of hands-on exercises. I have read many other books by this author, and each one of them is intelligent, articulate and very thought provoking. If you are interested in Celtic subjects and facts, read this book first!

Summary: Excellent book
Review: While I find a few of the concepts in this book highly dubious (such as the concept of Oneness, as stated above), this book is on the whole a very well written book. I enjoyed reading it not only for it's value as a "wicca/druid" text, but also as a historical and anthropological text. Sure, there are a few so-called "mistakes" in this book, but that's bound to happen. I've yet to find anyone who wrote a history or primer that could be called 100% accurrate.

So, on the whole, this book is very awesome.

Summary: Good Starting Point
Review: While I would have to agree with the other viewers on the "oneness" that is often focused on in this book, overall it is a wonderful reference for anyone interested in celtic spirituality.

Knight takes the time to delve into topics covered in most other celtic themed books, such as the Druids and Faeries. What I particularly enjoyed was the fact that modern celtic traditions were mentioned, as well as the what the future might hold for these traditions.

This isn't a book that is heavy on rituals or spells, and that was a nice change of pace for me. It seems all the books I ready today are spellbooks and the like. The focus here is what goes beyond and is behind those rituals that we read.

The author has a very easy to read format, and I think that even if you're just starting out you won't get too bogged down in terminology and format.

I recommend this is a great beginners book, as well as a quick reference to those who are more experienced.
