Rating: Summary: Great Depth of Character Review: "She's Out of Control" is an excellent look at life. It brings depth and understanding to everyday life in an insightful way. I appreciate the humor and candor. It is fun to read a book and have a smile on your face. Thanks to Mrs. Billerbeck!
Rating: Summary: Delightfully honest and hilarious! Review: Billerbeck does an outstanding job with this charming novel. It will have you laughing at Ashley's hilarious circumstances and identifying with all of them! I couldn't put it down. Bravo!
Rating: Summary: A knock out read Review: Buy it. Read it. Laugh out loud. It is soooo well written and funny and entertaining. And best yet, it's "today" and shows that we Christian sisters are definitely not little church ladies.

Rating: Summary: I'm Out of Control! Review: I loved Kristin's new book SHE'S OUT OF CONTROL because my own life is so much like Ashley Stockingdale's. The coincidences were more than ironic. I took this book with me to jury duty earlier this week. The case was dismissed, so I didn't have to serve (thank goodness!) but I was so distracted by the book that I accidentally boarded the wrong bus home and ended up on the opposite side of town. No problem. I had a lot of reading to do, anyway. And talk about chuckling all the way! When I arrived home to find that my puppy had piddled on the floor while I was away, I knew I had to write Kristin to thank her for getting me through such a crazy day. I did, and she graciously responded! Truly, Kristin Billerbeck is one of the few who can write this honestly, this smart, and with this much natural humor. I've recommended all of her books to my daughters (they're all 20-somethings) and even to my older friends. Thanks for a delightful read, Kristin! - Janice Thompson, author of HURRICANE (River Oak/2004)
Rating: Summary: Very entertaining... Review: I really enjoyed this book a lot and so is the first book, "What a girl wants". Having lived and worked in San Jose for a few years, I can relate to the story. Reading the book has brought back memories living in the Bay Area. It is a very entertaining read. I can say that Kristin Billerbeck is good with what she does and I really enjoy the smart humor. I highly recommend this book. I love the ending by the way. :) As they say, good things come to those who wait. You'll just know it if it's God's will. You have to read the book to find out. ;-) Is there a sequel to this? I can't wait if there's one.
Rating: Summary: Even better than the first one Review: I thought it would be hard to top the first Ashley Stockingdale novel, but I believe Billerbeck has done it! While the first book was more getting to know Ashley and establishing her as a viable character, this book gets you even deeper into her "Ashley-ness" to find that she's not as airheaded as you might think.
This book is an excellent example of a disillusioned woman taking a long, honest look at herself and her situation. When she doesn't like what she finds, she comes to realize there is only One who can truly "fix" her...if only she'll let Him.
A great read at any stage of life!! I've recommended this book to all my fellow chick-lit friends!
Rating: Summary: Greater than the first! Amazing! Review: Kristin Billerbeck did it again.
I thought from the first one that I knew the outcome, but the author surprised me with a new twist. I was a little dissappointed about who she ended up with in the end of the first book, but the second round made up for it. Excellent! Wonderful outcome, beautiful story line, and highly recommended! Don't listen to negative writings; listen to me. Wonderful!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST CHISTIAN CHICK LIT - IN FACT ANY ROMANTIC STORY!!! Review: Ms. Billerbeck has written the most entertaining and wonderful tale about her adorable and realistic character Ashley who struggles with her morals, values, and life yet is realistic and tied to the earthly side of her life style. I LOVED this sequel to WHAT A GIRL WANTS and can't wait for the third in the series! SHE'S OUT OF CONTROL is my favorite love story and I am yes a romantic but also searching for a "normal" way to live within my own judgement of what an inspirational "normal" means in today's world.
Rating: Summary: Humor and sympathy for Post-Modern Christian singles Review: This is a fun romp for those Post-Modern Generation women who know who Jimmy Choo and Lilly Pulitzer are, and want screwball comedy served with a bit of spiritual encouragement for single career women.
Heroine Ashley is highly intelligent and completely neurotic, in a giggling and endearing way. She reacts to the trials in her life out of fear--the same fears that many single Christian women face today and can relate to. She battles the safety of "the familiar," the temptation to compromise, the pull of self-pity, the pit of unworthiness. Ashley's bounce-back attitude and child-like, rock-hard faith in God is both encouraging and challenging. I wrestled with her over her control issues with God, and was reminded of the many times I've done the same thing.
The characters in this book, versus "What a Girl Wants," seem more rich, varied and distinct. The sparks that fly when different characters interact are hilarious and keep the pace moving smartly.
Much of the humor is very modern, for those of us with secret vices of subscriptions to Star and People Magazine in addition to our stash of Cosmopolitans. It may not appeal as strongly to the entire spectrum of readers as to the twenty-something and thirty-something urbanites, but it still zaps with humor reminiscent of old comedy films.
The novel captures the social and business atmosphere of Silicon Valley with its unique multiethnic aroma and science-heavy population. However, in defense of my own engineer husband, they are not all as absent-minded as some of the Reasons. ;-)
In all, a turbulent and ticklish look at the angst of singleness for Christian working women. An entertaining read I highly recommend.
Rating: Summary: Better than a prada bag and new boots! Review: This is the most refreshing and enteraining novel I have read aside from What a Girl Wants which introduced me to Ashley Stockingdale. I think every girl can relate to Ashley on some level and you are rooting for her all the way. I hope there are more books in the series...they are laugh-out-loud funny!
