Review: Although not written as a trilogy, these books all tell a wonderful story set at the turn of the century in Salt Lake City. Each book/story relates to the other two, but do not have to be read in any particular order. They intertwine in the lives of two families with stories that touch your heart and teach an appreciation of true love of that which is most important. Not necessarily set specific to Christmas reading, this holiday season makes it particularly inspiring as we naturally turn to goodwill to friends and strangers. Richard Paul Evans writes in a manner that puts you amidst the characters and lets you feel like an interactive character in the story. He makes you feel like you are truly there viewing things firsthand. A must reading, quick and easy.

Review: I bought the Christams Box set in paperback, while traveling from Lexington, Ky to Denver, Co.I frequently buy books when I travel, but seldom read them until after I arrive at my destination. Not so with the Christmas box. I was so taken with the simple beauty and truth in the story that I couldn't put it down. I think I scared the Attendant when, not noticing the passage of time, she startled me, and with tears in my eyes, I answered her, "I'll have a coffee, please." I was compelled to explain to her that nothing was wrong, but that the book was amazingly touching. I later saw her in the airport book store investing in a copy. I bought a copy for almost everyone this Christmas. I am certain that you will cherish it too... Enough to share it with everyone you love!

Review: I bought this book because I thought it would be a "cute" book to read around Christmas with traditional Christmas stories. I was so wrong! Once I started the book, I carried it everywhere with me because I couldn't put it down! And after I finished it, I couldn't stop thinking about it! If you love tearjerkers, this is definately the book for you. I recommend this book to anyone! It is definately a worth-while read!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A Review of Reviews Review: I find it interesting that when a someone doesn't like the directness of an review, they oppose it altogether. Just because someone doesn't care for a book, doesn't mean that it's a crummy review. The Christmas Box series mixes romance, Christmas and and real life story, ie: losing a child. Sometimes the mix simply doesn't quite fit. I am not a big fan of romance novels, these stories are more enjoyed perhaps by those who are. I prefer Christmas stories to uplift me and make me appreciate the season, (Christ's birth) and my family more. So while I find the stories a little sappy, (the romance part) others could find the enlightening. While I have not lost a child, my child was not born healthy. I too, struggle with emotion concerning his future and have a special tenderness for others who do the same. On the whole, I enjoyed the books.

A real treasure to have, enjoy and share for years to come.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A little sappy Review: I've read all three of these stories, and I honestly found them a little bit sappy. (Think Nicholas Sparks at Christmas.) Descriptive details and the hanky factor are both good, but the characters are never fully developed. Their moments of weakness are too temporary and too understandable. I never felt as if any of the characters were real people.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book is an excellent, fast read. Review: The Christmas Box is a book to be purchased for treasured friends and family memebers. It is a timeless story that need not be saved for the holiday season. The book offers the reader an opportunity to search within oneself for the 'first christmas gift'. Because I don't want to spoil the ending, I will not reveal any of the content; however, my advice would be to have a box of kleenix ready. To truly experience this book, read it alone first and let the emotion of the story creep into your soul and overtake your being. Finally, if you like this book, read "Message in a Bottle." It too will provide one an opportunity to search one's emotional being for the answer to the age old question, "Does true love really exsist?"

I highly recommend it to anyone. I read the book while my wife was pregnant at the request of our child's godmother. You don't have to have children to appreciate the book. A quick read, but well worth it!
