Summary: Not Just for Pagans
Review: I have to say I thought the book would have more pictures of the projects before they were finished. I was disapointed with that and then I was delighted with the rest of the book. I love how she gives you crafts in sections and explains the basics of the crafts before giving you any projects. A great book for anyone who is starting to create beautiful artwork in multiple mediums. I look forward to reading Polson's other books as well. Happy Crafting!

Summary: Lots of things for the crafty witch
Review: I just LOVE this book. I love all sorts of crafts, and this book is packed full of things I can't wait to make. It is loaded with craft projects from sewing, cross stitch, and quilting to pottery, woodwork, jewerly, and etching glass! There are ideas for sabbat candles, ritual wear, little bags for spell work, and things for your altar (pottery Goddess figures and chalice, incense burners, and altar tiles). The crafts do not require lots of hard to find items either. Further, this book has lots of pictures of the finished products as well (many in color). This is a *must have* for any kitchen witch, or the witch who likes to make her own tools. The only "problem," no knitting or crochet, and I love to play with yarn. However, I give this book my highest endorsment!

Summary: Something for Everyone!
Review: I was a little wary of this book when I ordered it, but decided to try anyway.

I AM SOOO GLAD. Willow has done a super job of giving detailed but not boring reviews of several craft media, and her instructions are clear-cut enough for even a beginning crafter.

I particularly liked the way she listed up-to-date resources for each chapter, and the index is very detailed, making it much easier to locate specific information.

Even though some of the crafts are not my cup of tea, the ideas presented are applicable to many media, and I have found myself inspired to create my own Witch Crafts.

Kudos to Willow! Your purchase of this book, for yourself or as a gift, will give many happy hours of return. What more could you ask?

Summary: So many crafts to chose from
Review: If you are looking for a crafting book and you are a Pagan, this is the book for you. Whether you are experienced or just learning a new craft, you will find something worth doing in this book. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. There are many color pictures of the items. I can't wait until Willow writes another one.

Summary: Really fun!!
Review: There's really a little bit of everything in here. The chapters covered are:

Candles (lots of different types, dipped, sand mold, rolled. Only complaint is I wish they talked about using animal friendly soy wax)

Jewelry (polymer clay, charm necklaces, using beads)

Sewing (pouches, banner, cape, dolls)

Embroidery (green man, other - patterns included)

Quilting (wall hangings etc w/ designs e.g. wheel of the year)

Flora (alters, devotional sculpture, topiary, garlands, rattle)

Fauna (not animal friendly products - uses goat toes, leather, antlers, rabbit skins - YUK! Rabbit skins belong on rabbits!!! Anters belong on deer!!! - lets not pretend that these animals gave up these items without being killed!!! Anyway, not a chapter for vegans that's for sure!)

Woodworking (lawn cutouts, box, stool)

Paper (holiday cards, decoupage box, handmade paper)

Painting (papier mache box, hex sign, ornaments)

Pottery (requires going to a pottery studio)

Glass (suncatcher, mosaic stepping stone, stained glass)

I do with there were some more pictures, the ones that there are are black & white (and they're not the best photography/kind of dark). Some pictures are in color in the center. One things that's really nice is that each section has an intro that gives beginners to the particular craft the background needed and each section has a resource list with addresses and web sites.

Neat book - liked everything except the fauna chapter

Summary: A Pagan Crafters Dream!!
Review: This book makes me wish I were on house arrest! The projects are varied and fun. Crafters from all different levels of ability will find this book informative and inspiring.

I'll be working with these crafts for years to come. This is one book that will not get loaned out!!!

A great gift book for your crafter friends!!

Summary: I want more!!!
Review: Very nice selection of crafts in this book. Willow avoids giving us instructions for the same projects that every Witchcraft book already has in them (such as a Yule Log, Brigt's cross, corn dolly, etc), and instead comes up with some very interesting and new ideas.

Some of these projects didn't do much for me - I can't sew very well and have an aversion to working with animal products (such as leather), but just the ideas alone in here are great.

If I had to name a drawback, I'd say I wish there was just MORE in here. There are a few projects that there are only patterns for about half the project presented, it's up to the reader to devise their own pattern for the rest. Which is fine...if you have those sorts of skills. I'd love to see a companion book come out with more patterns along the same vein as what's in this book.

My favorite project is the Greenman Guitar strap - I don't "do" leather, but the pattern is simply beautiful, I'm attemtpting to paint the design on the canvas strap to a carrying bag I made instead. :)

Summary: Something for Everyone!
Review: Willow has done an amazing job of putting this wonderful book together. Not only are each of the projects written well in simple instructions, but the ideas are so varied and inspiring! My first project was the "Know Thyself" mirror. I'm so proud of it! I'm moving on to the cross stitch Greenman next. The book makes me wish I had a kiln and wheel -- the pottery section is great. Maybe one day...

Summary: Excellent projects and GREAT color pictures
Review: Willow's book is not only filled with great crafts, but it is also a beautifully done book. Many finished products are in the full color insert and that makes it easier to pick out something you want to do.

I got it two days ago and I have already been to the craft store to get supplies for my first project!

I hightly recommend this book!
