Summary: Book Review by Echoed Voices Magazine
Review: Artist and Author Karri Ann Allrich has enriched us all with,
"A Witches Book of Dreams."
For anyone, who has ever feared or questioned a dream, this is the book for you. I have never seen a book with such an extensive "Dream Dictionary" in it as this one.

Karri enlightens the reader with easy to read samples and explanations. She doesn't dictate with her book but instead encourages the reader to open up their mind, awaken their spirit and think for themselves, to decipher their own dreams in their own way.

Once this is accomplished, the answers are all there. She brings the wisdom of Jung, and the spiritual of Goddess. With this combination you couldn't go wrong.

Karri Allrich has filled the void in the pagan market with subject matter and viewpoint. For all who dream, "A Witches Book of Dreams" is a must have!

Summary: good reference source for dreams
Review: As a psychology student and a Wiccan, this book is very helpful when it comes to unraveling the mystery of dreams. I was surprised to see some of the symbols and imagery that I had not thought of at all, and some of my dreams made total sense. Great book for beginners of dream analysis. The book is not a source for great detail, but is a great starting point.

Summary: Fly me to the moon
Review: Fly me to the moon, for this enlightening book on dreams is not for witches, only. I was drawn to the inviting cover of the maiden on the moon, but it was the contents that turned my nocturnal flights of dreamtime into a reality of power and understanding of me. Just a truth seeker am I, always working to improve my daily life and living to the fullest. Karri Allrich's "A Witch's Book of Dreams" has given me insight into all the lessons I can learn from examining and interpreting my dreams. As suggested, I started my dream journal immediately, and rereading its contents with the help of Allrich's dream dictionary, and her explanations of archtypes, symbols, and shadow work, has given me a new perspective of my life, past and present...and future. Buy this book. It will enable you to become that whole person you've always dreamed of!

Summary: This lady knows her stuff!
Review: Having read Karri's book "Recipes from a Vegetarian Goddess", I was surprised to find out that she was well versed in dream and symbology.

She has studied the Jungian and magical aspects of dreams and their symbols for over twenty-five years, and this book is the collection of all that she has studied and learned.

Karri starts with the basic explanation of what dreaming is, how we dream and when we dream. From there she takes a look at the studies of Carl Jung in relation to dreams and their roots in ancient wisdom's.

She examines archetypes and how they relate on many levels to ourselves and our lives. She also explains symbols, which is one of the best features of this book, the dictionary of symbols and their meanings. She gives broad overviews to general symbols and the dictionary gives some very workable explanations to these exact symbols.

She also discusses the importance of writing down our dreams, using dream tools and of working with our dreams in shadow work. We have heard of or explored our familiars in our everyday workings, shadow work is what happens when we fall asleep at night. We have our own shadows with us when we walk the dream worlds and we can learn to work with these shadows and help improve our lives or solve our every day problems.

Karri discusses working with the moon in dreams, using dreams to heal, and doing group Dream Circles. Karri has lead Dream Circles and shares her experiences so that we might explore the potential for Dream Circles in our own lives.

If your interest is Dreams, and you are looking for some new perspectives on dreams and dreaming, this book would be an interesting addition to your collection.

Summary: A great find
Review: I first became acquainted with Karri through her paintings. I actually did not know she was a witch....nor did she know I was a witch. I love her cookbook too.

But the very best, simply the best was finding this book [okay, it isn't quite as lovely as staring at the painting]. Finally, a perspective on dreams that is witchy and female.

Now what is different from the other dream books? Well, for one I have found the male oriented ones to be highly directive. They tell you what the symbol in YOUR dream means, they don't ask you what it means to YOU. This book however, to me, is a female way of going about figuring out your dreams. Here is the symbol. Here is what it could mean. Here are some questions you can ask yourself to find out what it means to YOU.

That's whats different. That and it is pure witch. The lady knows her craft, and she knows how to very clearly, very simply help you figure out your dreams.

A must have for any witchy woman.

Summary: Excellent Find
Review: Karri Allrich did a fantastic job with this book.

In the past, when I have tried to find a "dream book", all I could find were dictionaries, and that was great, but it seemed a little to simple, and at times, it was hard to figure out what my dreams actually meant.

With Karri Allrich's book, she explains symbols, how to start a dream jourmal, how to better understand nightmares, how to understand archetypes, anima, shadow work and much more.

She has studied dreams and archetypal symbology for over 25 years and heads up a dream circle. Her examples of dreams are real and her conclusions make a lot of sense.

If you are looking for a book on how to intrepret your dreams, pick up this one, as it is more thorough and covers more than every other book I have found out there.

Summary: a rare find
Review: There are many books about dream analysis, some good and some awful, but this is the first one I have found which is written especially for witches. And it's an excellent book at that. Karri Allrich's understanding and use of Jungian analysis is very relevant to witchcraft, for both draw on the collective unconscious and the power of the imagination. Her explanation of archetypal roles, especially seen through media figures, is powerful and relevant, but without being obscure or over intellectualised...in fact the whole book speaks in beautiful and accessible terms which inspire and uplift. The tools for enhancing dream work are useful too, and the dream dictionary is first class. How wonderful, for example, to find a meaning for snakes which doesn't involve Freudian phallic imagery. I loved this book, and i shall be keeping it for reference for many years to come.(...)

Summary: Not your average dream analysis
Review: This book explains dreams in a whole new way. The symbolism is alot more accurate than regular dream analysis books. The first chapter talks about archetypes, which is important to understand when you are decoding your dreams. It also gives general symbolism of dreams but what one person dreams may have a different meaning to them than to someone else. A great book to help understand your dreams better.

Summary: A Witch's Book of Dreams
Review: This is a gem of a book, before now those following a nature religion had to make do with dream symbols that were relevant only to christian theology. Finally a book that focuses on the Goddess.
