Rating: Summary: It WORKS! Review: I had the opportunity to read this book in it's galley form, and used the principles to lose some extra baby weight I was carrying around. I found myself taking better care of my body, caring about what I put in my mouth, but most importantly, viewing myself as a different, worthy, better person. Easy to read, entertaining and informative, it's a must-read for anyone with low self esteem and a great sense of humor.
Rating: Summary: Get your power back!!! Review: I have struggled for years with the issues that the author, Lisa Bonnice, deals with in this book. As I read this book I felt as if Lisa had written a personal love letter to me as a caring friend who understands what I go through and is cheering me on to my goals. This book is not just about weight loss. It is so much more than that. Lisa has been through all the struggles that I have as a woman and she offers compassionate, nonjudgmental help to all. Lisa helps you understand in a CLEAR and understandable way how your body is made and functions on a metaphysical (beyond the physical) level so that you can not only understand why you can't lose weight but what you can do about it. She shows you how to work with your body according to the way it is scientifically designed so that you are able to love it and work with it instead of always engaging in an endless struggle to lose weight and keep it off. I have felt helpless for so long in the whole weight loss/body image realm that I had pretty much thrown in the towel UNTIL I found this book. Lisa not only explains the WHY behind the struggle but gives you the tools you need to empower you to appropriate change. Where I once felt powerless now Lisa gave me my power back and for that this book is worth every penny.
Rating: Summary: You're going to love it! Review: I'm one of those people who has tried EVERYTHING time and again to get myself thin. It never occurred to me to use metaphysical principles to get healthy and slim. Lisa Bonnice has written a different kind of "how to" book, for these principles can be used for change of any kind, not just weight loss. Lisa asks us to get honest, look deep within, and to love ourselves. Yes, we've heard it all before, but not the way Lisa Bonnice puts it. I am carrying this book at my metaphysical bookstore and am using it as a guide for change in 2004. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

Rating: Summary: Empowering and Delightful Review: It's been a long time since I've wanted to devour a book as much as this insightful, entertaining and profound work by Lisa Bonnice. Funny that a book on weight loss has called forth such a physical response. Addressing the Goo is about the metaphysics of weight loss - but I would recommend it to anybody who wants to recreate or enhance their self-image in any way. From personal empowerment and spiritual insights to metaphysical laws explained with humor and empathy, Lisa explains why diets don't work and gives us the tools to achieve our weight loss goals with a change in thinking. For anyone who has ever struggled with dieting and body-image, this book is a must-read. Throw away your calorie counter and sit down with Addressing the Goo - for a new outlook that will create a new you. You will find inspiration, guidance and smiles galore in this wonderful book, including specific empowerment tools, metaphysical laws to create the image that you want, and - oh, let's not forget the section on 'sex magic'. They never had homework like this is my day! Addressing the Goo is a delightful read, and I found myself scribbling in the margins throughout the book - it's time to re-read it now and let some more inspiration soak in.
Rating: Summary: Pardon the cliche, but this book changed my life. Review: My sister and I both read Ms. Bonnice's book and I've lost 49lbs. and my sister has lost 62lbs. All I can say briefly is that I've tried dozens of diets, programs and all the rest, but this book is the first resource that truly worked for me (and my sister) because the first thing it accomplished for me was giving me new insight and techniques on how to spiritually empower myself to lose weight and my body/mind followed (very successfully!). I've applied the same techniques to other goals I wanted to accomplish and have realized happy results in those areas also--from how to keep my house clean to selling my artwork. I honestly feel this book has given me an amazing gift--the gift of myself TO myself! Instead of feeling like I was reading, I had the impression she was talking directly to me because her writing is so honest and unpretentious and I could easily identify with her. My sister and I loan her book to our friends because we feel grateful for it and want to share it with other women. I especially loved the sections called "The power of the thoughts of others" and "How to burn your imprint," which blew me away with its unique concept! One final thing...I've read many books, especially on weight loss, but this one is not only "out of the box,"--it SMASHES the box. I finally feel healthy, alive, and most of all, EMPOWERED. For me, this magical book is like my own, private stash of fairydust that is always there when I need it--and like the "Goo," it never runs out.
