Summary: UNimpressive....
Review: I am sorry, but I found this book to be quite disappointing, and particularly unimpressive. This book might be fine for those who are total novices, in fact it doesn't even give very concise directions, so you can't even really call it suitable even for them...And frankly, to me, the couple(s) didn't even look as if they were enjoying themselves that much! If you want a book that gives you good ideas on how to "spice up" your sex life, then there are plenty of others out there that fit the bill much better. Frankly, I feel that I wasted my money.

Summary: Human Sex: A Concise Manual for Aliens
Review: I don't really know who Anne Hooper had in mind as the target market, but here is a newsflash for her: most people already know that 'boys have penises and girls have vaginas.' The book is boring - you will NOT learn anything new from it, unless you really don't know jack and need someone to explain to you what goes in where. The illustrations are hilarious - the couples look like they are about to fall asleep after an exhausting evening of playing bingo.

Verdict: buy this book only and only if you are as clueless as Dick Solomon from the Third Rock.

Summary: AWESOME LITTLE ITTY BITTY BOOK
Review: I saw this book at the book store and peeked through it. It had lots of explicit pictures and the content appeared informative, so ght it and I'm really glad I did.The book is fully illustrated and it's small pocket-sized guide features s photographs and information on ways to enrich and diversify one's sex life. It has over 100 color pictues for viewing as you read and learn. This book teaches you everything From the art of seduction, to foreplay, arousal, and an incredible variety of sexual positions, this book combines the spice of ancient eroticism with the candid instruction of a modern sex guide.. Iloved it and my husband loved it more!!!

Review: Pictures are good. It would be a good companion to the Kama Sutra (Unabridged, translated version). Needs more explanation. Lacking!

Summary: Good Source of Ideas
Review: This book, like Anne Hooper's other books, is a great place for virgins who are expecting to loose there virginity and people who have recently become sexually active to get ideas. Some people complain a lot about the fact that books like this tell a lot of things that are obvious to most experienced people -- but if you are one of those people it may be that this book just wasn't good for you because you aren't in the audience that would most benifit from it. This is one of the books I studied as a virgin, and when I lost my virginity my partner was very impressed -- she couldn't believe she was my first! Those who already know their way around shouldn't not complain, but realize that for a certain audience books like this are very useful.

Some also complain about the models being "beautiful" -- well they are, and I consider it a good thing. I think I'm in the majority when I say I wouldn't buy a book that showed extremely revealing pictures of the ugliest people the author found. Yes, they're models, technically anyone who possed for publication is a model -- what do you expect? You write a book and need pictures, so you higher model to get them. That doesn't mean they aren't "ordinary" people at the same time. They really don't look that different from most of the people I see walking through the grocery store. I'm glad this book didn't torment me with dog-ugly, fat, octogenarians -- I'm very please with the fact that Anne choose attractive models and so made an attractive product -- good for her!

Summary: Exclusionary
Review: What I find really annoying about many of the sex instruction books on the market is they seem to written for the heterosexual 'beautiful' people. In this book there are two couples, white, hetero, young, and firm. In other words, models. It really bothered me that there are no Blacks, Asian, or Indians-the people the Kama Sutra comes from..or gay or lesbian. It gives the impression that the Kama Sutra was only for a select group of people. I was never as thin as the models to begin with; and after pregnancy am more Rubenesque. My husband is not thin either. Most of the people we know are not thin, or under 35. We are close to forty and the magic is still there and just gets stronger. Ms. Hooper, I haven't read your other books, but in your next edition of Kama Sutra I urge you to include pictures of people of ALL sizes, shapes, ages and persuasions. Represent real people-parents, grandparents, gay and lesbian, black, white, Asian, Indian, and others. I realize the editor will balk at pictures of overweight people, but the those of us who have earned our love handles would appreciate it.
