Summary: gong is everywhere
Review: A note to practitioners: That special feeling you get when you are practicing Falun standing Stance or the sitting meditation I feel when I read the positive thoughts in this review section. I know that they are Falun Gong practitioners, because I do not feel qi, i feel the gong...your words carry gong. I am very proud that this practice is finding a majority of positive light, I will have many friends in the future.
Another note: Your Falun is indestructible as long as you continure to be a good person. if you indulge in drugs (Alcohol, marijuana, crack, cigarettes, etc.) continue to think of the Fa. Do not let these temptations overpopulate your mind...attachments is what we get rid of, and that should be the ultimate goal. I realize that I have many attachments to get rid of, I must not let my peers with inferior xinxin get to me.
Also, I am finding evil in some of this messages. Propoganda which only damages the Fa. Containing misleading information and unfactual arguments. Ask your self, "do you feel gong when you read those eviil messages?"
I realize that I went beyond the point of this review.
Zhuan Falun changed my life. Everytime I read it I understand a deeper meaning of the contents. Li Hongzhi is the most truthful person on this Earth. The far-fetched ideas in the book only seem that way because they are unordinary...but this practice is beyond Qigong, it is something that can not be competed.
Li Hongzhi is prepearing us for the Golden Age, preparing us to be Gods on Earth when the time comes. All he has is love in his heart.

Review: Folks, if you really want to have some faith, go to Christain, Islam, Buddism or... Communism. Falun Gong is crap. When you buy this book, you contribute money to Li Hongzhi and risk yourself to become a slave of him.
If you want to destroy yourself, go ahead. It's your choice.

Review: for the people who voted 1 star or less... you have just sinned to the very face of God almighty who is concretely next to you this very moment staring you down, denied yourself the everlasting salvation that comes with being able to acknowledge that you want to become the best person you can be with all your heart at the extreme minimum, denied yourself the privilege of being human by sacrificing anything left that makes you so live, and joined the death ranks of Satan and His followers to leave the path of happiness, normalcy, and Mr. LiHongzhi who loves us all and give yourself the suffering only being the worst citizen possible can bring.Who created you, who can also destroy you? Your evil is weak, it won't survive...just give us a few more days.

Summary: From former practitioner
Review: I am a former practitioner and I want to share my true experience with Falun Gong. I felt quite miserable during my 3 years spent in the practice. I felt lots of fear and felt as if I was not free to leave. I felt even too scared to tell my friends and family about my true feelings about the practice. According to the writings, I thought they would loose their souls if they thought bad about Falun Gong. I would also loose my soul if I thought bad about Falun Gong. We weren't supposed to have requirments in the practice, but I felt pressure to be thinking and doing Falun Gong activities 24 hours a day. I felt I should read at least 1 hour a day, 1 hour of exercises a day or every couple of days, do work for Falun Gong, as well as meditate on the hour for ten minutes (4 times a day). I know many practitioners who gave up responsibilities at work and in their families. They technically were not supposed to, but from my understanding the presssure was really great to do Falun Gong activities. I am not blaming Falun Gong for my experience, I am just sharing the facts about what happened to me. Thanks.

Summary: Best book leading to solving almost all mysteries of mankind
Review: I am an engineering professional of Ph.D. degree in bioresource engineering. During the 35 years of my life, I spent quite a bit time in search of the true meaning of life along different paths including the Buddhism and the Christianity, hoping to find a "lighthouse" that can guide the rest of my life to an eternal destination. Although both religions provide answers to some extent, they fail to give, as I feel personally, explicit and convincing answers to the questions I, as well as many other people, have had. These questions kept puzzling me until I read the book ZHUAN FALUN and 7 other books written by Mr. Li Hongzhi, as well as listen to his lectures worldwide. I personally believe that I have found the definite answers for which I was perplexed. Some examples of the questions are: 1) In Genesis 2:7 of the Bible, it was recorded that God created human by dirt. How was this happening in the light of our modern sciences? 2) In Exodus 33:18-20 of the Bible, God said to Moses that he would not let Moses see his face because whoever sees the face of God is not able to stay alive. Then, why human beings can not see God? Why a man would die if he sees God? What are the scientific principles behind this? 3) Everybody in the world seems to follow the same pattern of life: birth, growth, age, and death no matter whether he is somebody or nobody. Then, what is the true purpose of being a human? Where do we come from and where do we destine? 4) Our current science has made it possible for the space ship to travel away from the earth, but still very much limited to the solar system. Then, further outwards, how big is the universe? what is the structure of the universe? 5) Our current science has made this world change in leaps and bounds, especially in the past 20 years, but why did this science seem to boom all of a sudden from about a century ago (especially in the past 20 years), while before that human beings had existed for thousands of years absolutely without this science? What is the hidden reason that has never been told before and is indeed "a skeleton in the cupboard" to our human beings? 6) What is the truth for UFO, the demonic Burmuda Triangle, the Maya culture, the Egyptian pyramid, the origin of the Moon, the holes in the ozone layer, and even the origin of our human beings? 7) What is truth for the fact that there are so many religions in the world and among them some, such as Christianity and Buddhism, are almost as big and all attract a huge congregation each other? In other words, why did God's message have to be sent to human beings via different channels, languages and understandings? There are many more such questions and/or unsolved mysteries existed that have no clear answers yet on the level of the current science, from all the scriptures of the existing religions, and within all the knowledge of the current human civilization. To my surprise, a lot of answers can, however, be readily found in the book ZHUAN FALUN and other books and A/V materials by Mr. Li Hongzhi. The answers are so well versed with the scientific principles that people including the rocket scientists have to believe that it makes sense the ways Mr. Li Hongzhi explained in the book ZHUAN FALUN and all his other books. I would like to give two thumbs up for this book.

Summary: This practice is quite good
Review: I enjoyed this book very much. So much so, that I began practicing Falun Gong regularly. Originally, I was taken aback by the publicity and controversy surrounding this practice and its persecution in China. It seemed reasonable that there must be a sinister aspect to it - otherwise, why would the Chinese government persecute it? As I looked into the matter further, I realized that there was no justification for its' persecution. The practice teaches a whole new level of personal responsibility, and placing value on virtue and goodness - it has nothing to do with communist Chinese doctrine or regulation. Combine that with 100 million Chinese practitioners and you begin to see things a little clearer. You don't have to take my word on this. The US government has condemned this persecution unanimously in the legislature (HCR304 and HR188); governments around the world have also condemned it.
As for some of the negative comments about the practice written here, I disagree with them. You can practice Falun Gong if you want - no one is going to pressure you. All the materials are free on the websites. There are exercise sites in over 60 countries. The book has been translated into many languages.
I recommend purchasing this book and examining the practice yourself. Along with understanding the human rights abuse (www.faluninfo.net) side of this issue - and the emotions ignited on both sides - this is the best way to form a clear understanding of Falun Gong.

Summary: The more times I read the book, the more I traesure it.
Review: I had read a lot of books and magazines regarding to spititual world and related practicing methods, and tried several methods for several years. The first time I read Zhuan Falun was in 1995 when I was a graduate student. I was excited at understanding some extraordinary principles in the book. Also the explanation of phenomena appeared among Qigong practitioners made me understand what I experienced but did not understand before. But there were some theories in the book that I did not totally accept at that time. Also there were some principles that I did not think about seriously at that time. When reading the book more, I found more profound principles under the plain words. My questions were more and more as well. One day when I was reading the book and another related book, I suddenly felt my scattered knowledge about the spiritual world was pieced together. All major questions were answered! Now, I read the book almost everyday. The more I read the book, the more I traesure it. I guess for most people, it is not easy to understand and accept all the thories in the book at the first reading. My suggestion is: Read with an open mind from the beginning to the end (no skip). Read again and again with patience. Read other Falun Gong books as well. It is suggested not to mark on the book. Wise people are those who have an open mind with their own judgement. I believe you will benefit more and more from the book if you could keep reading.

Summary: I had seen it all.
Review: I had run across a older woman at a health fair with my girlfriend. The woman told me of the benefits of practicing Falun Gong and she suggested that I read this book. At the time I had recently attained my Reiki-Master degree, was practicing martial arts, and Tantrism. I had also read a few Qi Gong and Tai-Chi books and thought "Sure, what have I got to lose."
The first time I read it I had to read it very slowly as the flow is very different from other books I had read. Some of the concepts I had heard, I never even considered the consequences of, such as double-cultivation of man and woman, giving up attachments, cultivating multiple practices, various mentalities, and why should people practice at all.
The book has a very brick styled writing with a very logical layout with a few hints inside of other subjects because of reference. I was told "get rid of attachments" but no book or person ever told me why, but it said why. Other subjects such as accumulating qi, stealing qi, the origins of qi-gong and cultivation, the importance of moral character and cultivation practice, what is enlightenment, Tao, Buddha Law (Fo Fa), as well as other subjects. Even if don't necessarily agree with all the ideas in the book, it can at least give you a good idea of how to be a good person.

Summary: Refuting a previous review: Zhuan Falun promotes hatred
Review: I have read this book myself many times. The first time I read this on the internet, I was amazed at its quite magnificent energy emmitting from the monitor. The more I read, the better I understood. This book is truly priceless gem one cannot glance at in 10000 years or longer. This book reveals the law of universe and the process of spritual transformation in a simple and clear manner so that we can understand it and improve ourselves to live by truthfulness, benevelence, endurance, and to return to our original beautiful true self. I want to refute a previous review: Zhuan Falun promotes hatred. Before he criticize he should be more objective and honest against his distorted prejudice and complaints. I had also noticed that master Li said in p33 in Chapter 1, "Nowadays, some people not only are bent solely on profit, but also commit all kinds of vices. They will do all kinds of evil things for money, and they will also commit murder, pay someone to kill, practice homosexuality, and abuse drugs." He is saying the people of today are doing wrong deeds. These things are considered as bad in our societies too, I don't believe he is saying he is not tolerant of people who repent their wrong deeds. I remember reading a drug abuser has changed in good way via falungong. He accepted an abortioner as a student too as long as he repent and practice earnestly. Master Li is compassionate and tolerant. Regarding gay practice some countries started to tolerate by law simply because lawyers couldn't find lawful fault of gay practice. We all know law is not only full of loop-holes but also the minimum of ethics and morality and the most crude and inconvenient tool to enforce morality. Our law prohibits obscenity but the society tolerate obscenity too because law couldn't define it precisely. A lot of bad things are tolerated as human society is at low level. God created male and female meant to heterosexual, if you practice homosexuality that's against god's law. If you want to upgrade and move to high level world, you should assimilate yourself to high level criteria by stopping wrong and bad deeds seen from that criteria. This is told in Chapter 9. Some countries even started to tolerate Drug Abuse by law to some degree. Now since it's legal, does it mean drug abuse is good? Once, Master Li said in a western country, "Even your goverment approve homosexuality, your god won't approve it." Regarding his comment Master Li said gays should be annihilated and they will constitute society of demons is precisely LIE. I read the book 10+ times and that doesn't appear in the book. The book is dowanloadable from www.falundafa.org and search the file for his lie. You won't find it. It's LIE. I can understand other complaints of the reviewer as I had the same view at the beginning. Master Li said in the book, he will take care of only the true practitioners, not the ordinary people. He clearly state that there is universal law of Karma. If you did bad things, you have to take the consequence. Without this law, people will commit wrong deeds ifinitely with no regret and the victims will always take the consequence and suffer. This is wrong. Great beings do not dare to violate this law. You cannot complain Master Li is not compassionate because of this. Read the chapter 3, "What has the teacher given to practitioners?" to understand how compassionate he is. He has already taken the enormous consequences of our bad karma for us. He has embraces all kinds of bad aspect of us hoping that we will improve ourselves by practicing this cultivation way.

Summary: Garbage, save your money and don't support this Cult
Review: I read one of the earliest books by this former office clerk turned millionaire and I am still waiting to be able to levitate, have the eyes of a cat scan machine and be able to raise the temperature in my room. Some examples, if a Falun follower is in his or her car and run over by a truck and not injured its because of Li Hongzhi, yet if you are killed your simply paying back a past Karmic debt. Can you believe this BS? Yet the dollars continue to roll in my sheeple near and far, really said and it's wrecked families and relationships, I know for a fact, personally!
Believe in yourself you'd be much better off. :-)
