Summary: Same Book, New Title
Review: As stated by another reviwer, this is basically the same book as the earlier "You Can Heal your Life Workbook." My personal preference with this type of book, in which you are writing and doing exercises, is to have a basic, soft-cover, easy-to-use format. This version is printed as a fancy gift-y type of book, with shiny full-color pages and a lot of (to me) distracting and unnecessary illustrations. So...if you like pretty, gift-y books, get this version. If not, get a copy of the earlier version. But YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY BOTH!

Summary: Same Book, New Title
Review: I love Louise Hay books. I own almost all of her stuff.

She writes in a very down to earth way, in very clear easy to understand language. Her books also work! I have dealt with and overcome several issues by using her books.

However, with this Compaion book, I have to ask myself "Why?" It is almost identical in nature to the You Can Heal Your life Workbook. If you own that, there is little need to purchase this companion. While there are three or so new "chapters", the lay out, and most of the content is the same as the Workbook.

I was a bit confused by the other review on this book, because this book is almost journal-like in nature. There are sections for each issue in your life, with affirmations (Louise loves her affirmations), checklists, and then questions that you answer pretty much in journal form. Louise also includes exercises to perform to help you to open up to the affirmations that will help you heal your life.

Louise has before published several books that are almost identical in nature to previously published books. Be careful when you're purchasing her stuff. Just because the title is different doesn't mean the book is. Check the content out well first! It'll save you some money.

Summary: An excellent companion
Review: You Can Heal Your Life Companion book is an excellent guide to begin work on yourself. Most companion books I have seen are all journal entries or vague questions that don't help me clarify my specific problem areas. This book is divided into every area of your life that you may need to look at: beliefs, health, fearful emotions, critical thinking, addictions, forgiveness, work, money and prosperity, friends, sexuality, love and intimacy, and aging. For example, the fearful emotions chapter begins with a checklist of issues you may have. Then, Louise Hay gives reasons for these type of thoughts. She moves into an exercise in letting go (very useful to me). After that, you write down your fears in different areas of your life and create affirmations to change your thought patterns. She ends the chapter with a meditation on feeling good. There are many good exercises in each chapter depending on the problem area. Namaste.
