Summary: Dear Disgusted Reader from Bloomfield Hills
Review: It's a shame that you would honestly think Suzy would write her own reviews. 1. I do not know her. 2. In your case A book needs to be written about snotty, self absorbed people like you!

What interests me most is the rage and jealousy you have towards her. You honestly need help!

Obviously, you have been burned in a relationship and you must get some sort of a high out of taking it out on others. Or you are so pathetic that you need to feed off of other peoples pain.

You should ask yourself: What have I done that is positive in my life for myself and others around me?

By the looks of it not much! You need some serious self healing! Perhaps the self help section at Barnes and Noble can do you some good!

As for Suzy Farbman: I am so uplifted that you didn't walk away from your family and marriage and that you made it work! Something we all need to work on is following through with our promises and commitments. I am 26 and working on my marriage and the book and couseling has done wonders and I thank you!

Summary: More specific advice needed
Review: Suzy's book does tell a moving story of an all too familiar story of infidelity and perhaps of sex addiction. Unfortunately, the book gives few specifics that can be helpful to readers who need more support than just their story retold in print. Some may have been seeking the book by Dr. Jennifer Schneider with same title Back From Betrayal. Dr. Schneider's Back From Betryal offers a user friendly guide through the very painful and difficult ordeal of infidelity, many practical tips for self care, support in communities when one has few financial resources, and ways to rebuild trust in oneself and the relationship. Both books would help anyone trying to survive the betrayal of infidelity.

Summary: Can this really be happening??
Review: Suzy's book was just what I needed at this point in my life, I also am a betrayed spouse, the last to know, the trusting, loving, giving, wife.... Her book tells of the emotional toll it takes on the betrayed and the betrayer, it brought to light alot of what it takes in a long-term relationship, it is a wonderful book, and a must read for someone in this unfortunate situation.
Thank you, Suzy and Burt for giving of yourselves and telling a compelling story.

Summary: grateful in texas
Review: Thanks to Back From Betrayal, I have new hope and a sense of direction. I am grateful to Suzy Farbman for sticking her neck out so others can also get through the nightmare of infidelity. This book reads like a novel, but it's the real thing. I felt Suzy's pain and celebrated her reconciliation along with her.

Summary: Hope and healing for couples facing infidelity
Review: This book is an amazing diary of a married woman's struggle to survive infidelity and reclaim herself. It also gives a guide for saving the marriage.
It is well written and reads easily. Suzy presents her journey in a straight forward non-judgmental way that most people can identify with.
It also provides a bibliography filled with different places to go for help if this experience happens to you.
SHe is intensely honest and transparent with her experience and provides hope for others.
In addition, her husband writes an afterword that provides his point of view for the reasons behind his behavior and how he is coping with the changes that he needed to make to save the marriage.

Summary: My only hope...is this book
Review: This won't be your average review. I am a 32 year old husband & father. Five months ago my world turned upside down. After years of unhappiness & deceptions, I decided to leave my wife of 8 years for another woman...a close personnal friend of ours. Today, five months to the day after leaving, I regret everything & would do anything to have my wife back. We have daily contact, some of it good, most of it fueled by anger & bitterness on both parts. I have yet to read this book, but watched the Oprah show today & will be in line for it tomorrow morning at 9:00am! I am a changed man ( I see all of you rolling your eyes!) & see my marriage the way the author's husband saw his. I realized he could have been talking to me or my wife when he stated "If you [each] find a way to take care of yourself, to find love within yourself, peace within yourself, once you get there, you then can come together and find love for each other. It's a long program. It took us years and we work on it every single day. ... You find first this feeling inside that you trust yourself. I wouldn't be hung up on whether you trust him or he trusts you, I would be more concerned about trusting yourself. And once you get there where you really trust yourself and you're working together, then there is an opportunity to be a couple and to be in love and to move forward."

I am looking forward to reading this book, in my mind it WILL BE a relationship healing one... Thank you Suzy.

to all the negative review posters who attack Suzy personnally, If your relationships are so perfect, why are you wasting your time bitching someone out instead of cuddling up to your husbands in your perfect love nests?
