Review: The Inclusive Scriptures are a Godsend--and I mean that literally. I have long felt offended by translations which exclusively use male pronouns to describe God. At the same time, I have been disappointed with the way in which modern translations can strip the Bible of it's poetic and lyrical quality. The Inclusive Scriptures represent a huge undertaking by an impressive group of scholars--including translators, feminist theologians and linguists, and has resulted in a clear, inclusive, beautiful and trustworthy Bible. I have the Inclusive New Testament, and Volumes I and III of the Hebrew Scriptures. I am eager for Volume II to come out!
