Rating: Summary: Simply amazing Review: Originally published as under the title, _Pure Joy_, Rick Stedman's book outlines the Christian perspective on human sexuality, complementing it with real-life stories and facts and discrediting suggestions that some types of fornication might not be displeasing to God.Stedman's breakdown is simple, but eloquent. In brief, he says that our commitment to keep ourselves pure before marriage is tied directly to how much we value ourselves, and, therefore, how much our partners and eventual spouses will end up valuing us. Sexual acts must be reserved for marriage because we should not be enjoying the benefits of a deep relationship without actually having a deep, covenential, ordained relationship (read: a marriage). Those longing for a positive Christian perspective on sexuality and abstenance need look no longer. It makes the perfect complement to parental counsel on sex--although parents should be advise that the book does touch on topics such as orgasm and masturbation, so it's probably best to save it until your kid is 15 or older.
Rating: Summary: Your Single Treasure Review: This is an absolutely amazing book! It was the sex education that I never had. Rick Stedman will give you a whole new perspective on sex and celibacy with positive reasons to abstain from sex until marriage. I highly recommend it for everyone over 13 years of age.
