This book is a beautiful reminder that no matter how deep the pain, nor how wide the estrangement, God's love and forgiveness are deeper and wider still.

I loved this book and eagerly await the sequel.

Review: Eva Marie Everson And G.W. Francis Chadwick have written a wonderful novel that kept me involved from the first page to the last!

Katie Morgan ran away from home when she was 18 and hasn't seen or spoken to her mother in twenty-five years. She wishes she could forget the shame she feels from the bad choices she made those first few years she lived in New York City. When she returns to rural Georgia twenty-five years later she must deal with the pain in her past and seek to restore relationships with her family and friends.

The lessons on forgiveness and coming home are heartwarming. The suspense and mystery surrounding Katie, her husband, and his business associates also adds excitement to the novel.

I hope the authors don't keep us waiting too long for the sequel!

Review: Eva Marie's series is fabulous. I couldn't wait to find the time to read the next page. I fell in love with Katie and hope there are plans to read more of her. Eva Marie's 3 books in this series is filled with exciting plot twists, suspense, and drew me closer to the Lord, plus making me even more appreciative of my wonderful husband. These books are delightful!

Summary: Picky Readers Don't Miss This One
Review: I love to read, but please don't waste my time if it is not the best writing out there! Shadow Of Dreams is MORE than worth any readers time! Everson and Chadwick have the skill and finesse of some of the all time greats when it comes to character, plot and setting developement. As a reader you don't just get to know the characters, you are literally drawn into their lives with interesting details woven into a brilliant intrigue story line. Every small detail that is dropped into the story pays off to the reader as Katie Webster, the main character, returns home to face one of those moments in her past that we can all relate to. Heated words are exchanged between Katie and her mother that are shrouded in circumstance and which change the course of many lives. The word pictures that Everson and Chadwick paint are so fantstic that the reader can see, hear and even practically smell just what is happening on the page. Thank goodness the ending left room for a sequel!

Summary: HELD MY ATTENTION.....GREAT READ.....BUYING MORE!!!
Review: Just finished reading Eva Marie's book......it held my attention and was a great read. Fell in love with Katie's character immediately....the thought "what was around the corner on the next page?" kept me going. The journey back home in our lives is often joyous, often difficult, and sometimes healing. We travelled with Katie to the place of her childhood and found relationships changed.

The "shadow" of her early days followed her. Life in the darness needed the truth of light and that's where restoration began for Katie. A mother's forgiveness and love began that process. A town's acceptance was part of that restoration as well.

This is a marvelous book to give to family members where relationships need mending. I am buying four for my own family.

Now.....we must wait for the sequel....can hardly wait!!!!

Review: Magnificent mystery, compelling characters, rousing romance...Shadow of Dreams contains all three in abundance. Everson and Chadwick create vivid word pictures that evoke the essence of the scenes they're relating - you live in the pictures and walk with the characters. From the squalid slums of New York to its scintillating skyscrapers, you walk every step with Katie as she remembers and relives her past and relishes her present - only to have her reality changed again as she's chased South to a home she'd abandoned so many years before. It's as Katie comes home that the tenor changes and the characters step off the pages. All of us can remember our home towns, the way we felt growing up, how eagerly we left, how reluctantly we return...knowing you can't really come home again. Yet Katie does come home - and the prodigal is eventually forgiven. No parent really ever gives up on a child. But the telling and the introduction of the people she once knew draw us into her story and life. We know that these people will again be critically important to Katie - and that her best friend from the past, Marcy, will be her best friend again.

I feel as if these characters are MY new best friends and I'm anxiously awaiting the sequel to see what happens next! This is definitely the start of a brilliant career in mystery writing - give us more and soon!
