Review: The book brings out that each person's picture of God is a combination of the personalities of their own parents and the mental understanding they have of who the ideal parent should be. However, since none of us has perfect parents, our pictures of God are distorted. To know who God really is, is to be drawn to Him. The book is Scripturally based, and you might be surprised at what Heavenly Father is really like. Did you know He likes to hug His children? "Embracing God" is good reading for all (even young people). I especially recommend it to those who have suffered pain or disappointment because of their earthly parents.
