Rating: Summary: a Marianist priest discovers the charismatic movement Review: This book traces the the spiritual growth of George Montague from his childhood in Texas to the priesthood, and through the Catholic charismatic movement in the early '70s to a totally different life "in the Spirit". Father Montague was at St. Mary's University in San Antonio when he experienced charismatic worship in those early years. He was later transferred to St. Louis, but is now back at St. Mary's where he is a much beloved professor of Sacred Scripture. This book is an updated version of the original "Riding the Wind." Reading this book, it is impossible to resist sharing the joy with which Father George welcomes the Holy Spirit into his life. I would highly recommend that anyone who is interested in growing spiritually as a Christian read this first, and then move on to some of his other excellent books about the Bible and about Mary.
