Rating: Summary: I'll Add to the Chorus Review: A few years ago a pastor friend of mine had the privilege of being the guest of a "Big Name Mega Church Pastor" for a seminar on leadership. He came back excited and exclaimed to me, "That pastor had his staff so well trained that his coffee cup couldn't even get low without someone coming over to fill it!"Sims takes a different, much needed, view of leadership. I want to add my voice the the chorus of other reviewers who support this book. Get it, if for no other reason, to remind yourself that biblical leadership carries a cross.
Rating: Summary: A Must-Read for all Church Leaders Review: Bishop Sims tackles tough issues facing the Church with honesty, clarity, and charity. Sims is candid about his past mistakes and doesn't view his episcopacy as an arrival, but a new opportunity for learning. Above all, Sims puts a compassionate and human face on orthodoxy.
Rating: Summary: Imminently readable and inclusive Review: You don't have to be ordained or a scripturist to comprehend the many important themes this excellent book has to offer. At only 177 pp., this "little" book packs "big" evidence toward getting your life right as a Christian...or as any other human being of faith. It's hard to imagine a more readable, intelligent and thoughtful book on leadership in the church, in society and in business.
