Rating: Summary: Peace and Violence in the NT Review: Although Tite relies heavily on his mentor, Michel Desjardin, he provides an excellent study into the depths of peace and violence in the New Testament. Tite uses the Gospel of John and 1 Peter to extrapolate themes of violence and peace-making in Christian texts. Then he applies them to three contemporary contexts: Feminism, Anti-Semitism, and Homosexuality. If nothing else, the application to each of these three areas is worth the cost of the book in and of itself.
