Review: Having recently finished a seminary urban youth ministry course, this is the one published text on our required reading list that I regard as worth buying. The authors of the essays are not ivory tower academics but rather are writing out of their own experience of working intensively with urban youth (note the emphasis here and in the title on urban youth; we're definitely talking inner city rather than suburbia). These insights are especially helpful for those unfamiliar with life in the inner city.
