Kent first invites us to explore our deepest longings and recognize where the reality of life has fallen short of our expectations. She then encourages us not to lose hope or become embittered, but rather to take positive action by teaching how to run those unfulfilled longings through a scripturally based values grid. "By acknowledging and evaluating our passions, we can discover how to lead a much more honest, focused, fulfilling and purposeful life--a life based on eternal values." (Kent, 1990) I highly recommend the book and also the study guide for small group use.
