Summary: A good look at the Catholic Church from a non-Catholic
Review: This book was a required text for a course on Church history. It was eye-openning for me in a historical sense. Being a post-Vatican II Catholic of the seventies, I learned a lot about Vat II and other counsels. I especially liked the insights that were personal and not just historic.
