This book is thought-provoking and easy to read. It provides basic components of developing one's Christian life using loving guidance from the scriptures. McDougal encourages the reader to accept the resources available for personal growth and to take a part in contributing to society as a Christian as well. The book contains many practical illustrations to which young people can relate, and suggestions for implementing one's personal plan for growth. I would recommend this book highly for youth, and suggest that adults who care about youth would also find it motivating and inspiring. This writing style and organization would lend itself to reading, then thinking a while about how to incorporate the recommendations into one's own life, then reading some more as one continues along the road. I believe this can be a powerful tool for Christian young people.
