Summary: Highly informative. A must read.
Review: This book is eye opening and ought to be in the hands of every Christian. For many outside of Christianity, the faith movement is percieved to be authentic Christianity which, needless to say, is a major turn off. Hanegraaf's signature acrostic method of memorizing faith theology concepts is very helpful in equiping everyone from clergy to the humble layperson to accurately share with those caught in the movement. For those out there who want to persue foriegn missions, this book is a must read. I personally did a 6 month term in a region that has been cut off from the message of Jesus Christ for generations. Yet several well known faith teachers mentioned by Hanegraaf in his book are already household names among those young in the faith. Already the false hope of guaranteed health and wealth for every believer is being proclaimed to a people that have no grounded Christian heritage. If we are not careful, this type of thing could become their heritage. The time has come for us to not only become more discerning, but to teach those new to the faith to discern truth from error.

Summary: Dry as toast religion in crisis!!
Review: This is a great book!! If you need to find a Holy Spirit filled evangalist that can heal/encorage/empower you..use this book as a guide. Every evangelist that the author criticizes (and there are many!!)can just about be garuanteed to be Spirit filled and the right person to follow.
I only wish he supplied a list of good evangelists/ministers so I know which ones to avoid!!

Summary: Judged by the words of their own mouths
Review: This is an excellent book that is extremely well documented. From watching the Faith teachers and having friends who accept many of these teachings, I was aware that Faith theology twisted the words of scripture to create a God who is a genie in a bottle, not the sovereign, holy God of the universe. From reading D. R. McConnell's A Different Gospel, I also knew that the origins and tactics of the Faith Movement are occult. What I did not know was that Faith theology descends into overt heresy. Teachers like Copeland, Hagin, Capps, and Hinn deny the Trinity, deny that Jesus is eternal, deny that God is all-powerful and omniscient. They teach that we are made identical with God, equal to Him, and that He cannot operate without our permission. They teach that we are gods. Not all Faith leader teach exactly the same doctrine, but all of it falls into the heretical category. I read this book after first reading the history and occult origins of the Faith movement, A Different Gospel, by D. R. McConnell; and Charismatic Chaos, by John MacArthur - also excellent books.
