Review: This is not really a commentary on Revelation. It's a series of essays on a number of topics in the book. For example he takes the "silence" in heaven or the lamb/lion/dragon imagery and examines them in light of contemporary Jewish apocalyptic books like 4 Ezra, 2 Baruch, and also Enoch. The orientation is fairly conservative and the outlook is NOT premillenial. Some Greek, Latin, and Hebrew is included. This book is probably most geared for the experienced reader. Very good overall.
