Review: Steve Garber does an amazing job of asking important questions that are on the minds and hearts of college students and people in their 20's. Garber does not cower or avoid the most difficult questions. Much like Francis Schaeffer before him, Garber gives honest answers to honest questions. It is a great read, and will force the reader to look at themselves and the world around them. The questions tackled in this book have been avoided by most for too long! I cannot over recomend this book, it is terrific!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Difficult book. Review: These are the reasons why I was not too happy with the book, Major: 1)I found this book very difficult to understand. Pretty much if you are a grad. student in the Humanities or an undergrad. who is used to reading such books, then you can get by, otherwise if you (like me) are in the hard sciences, aanbd are not used to reading such books, then this books is a toughie...and I have a bit of a background in theology/philosophy ! Minor: 2) It seems like over half of the book is just simply quotations from other books. Almost like a collage. Dr. Garber should cut out a lot of those quotations and just simply write his own thoughts. Minor: 3) Theres a lot of culture specific stuff in there that might lead one wondering whats going on. For example, Garber might discuss some idea in a movie that he saw...Kundalini, and since you may not have seen the movie, you kinda dont get what he's talking about. ---------------------------------------------- Note: After studying a bit of trinitarian theology, I can see that Garbers thesis has a trinitarian backbone to it. It would have been interesting to see some comments on that.
