Review: This is an excellent book for anyone interested in the origins of Christianity, and contains a number of outstanding chapters citing real Romans and their exact written thoughts on the Christian religion which they knew.
It is somewhat eerie to realize that two thousand years haven't changed much. The Romans were very leery of the Christian reliance on faith. They didn't distrust faith because it leads to God, they distrusted it because it is a bad method. Such comments are still highly relevant today.
