Summary: Required Reading About the End Times & 'Left Behind' series
Review: Tim LaHaye's 'Are We Living in the End Times' is a great supplement reading to help you follow the story line of the 'Left Behind' series. LaHaye uses excerpts from the various 'Left Behind series' books to explain where each one is laid out according to prophecy. It examines the current events foretold in scripture and what they mean. It clearly lays out current events as they relate with the scriptural timetable. The book contains picture diagrams and carefully outline explanations of every event from our present time to the end of the ages. This book gives lots of reasons for believing that the Rapture and the Tribulation could occur during our generation. It's look into future events are, at least to be appreciated for it's thorough study of Revelations and the prophetic books of the Bible.

If you don't have time to read through all the 'Left Behind' books try this book as a shortcut to the last days and the signs of the times. Some events mentioned in the book have soon passed. But they do give close to a pinpoint prediction where we are in the prophecy timetable. Since September 11, 2001 begins the countdown what soon maybe the End Time. Another source suggestion is 'War on Terror' by Grant Jeffery. He explains the meaning of the catastropic events and how they fit into the End Time prophecy.

Summary: The Gospel According to LaHaye
Review: To have Tim LaHaye tell it, this man has a direct hotline to God. This book is probably the biggest waste of time in literary history. This book and his Left Behind series are just forms of mind control...I mean, come on, what Biblical justification does he have for portraying Jesus as a murderer? Overall this book reflects on Christianity's transformation from a religion of love and understanding to a religion of fear and fire insurance. What [...]. Read the Bible and come up with your own opinions, don't have some false prophet tell you what to think.

Summary: Prophecy Simply Explained
Review: What a fabulous book! The title of the book is a question that resounds through the minds of many. Are we living in end times? The text points out current events that were predicted in prophetic passages. This book was written for two reasons. The first is as a guide for the millions of readers of the Left Behind Series, showing where and how the facts were put together for the storyline in the book. The second is for those people wondering, are we living in end times?

The examples in the book help the reader to understand what has happened throughout history and what is to come. The text compares different books of the Bible as well as passages within the same books. Most of the scriptural references are pulled from Isaiah, Daniel and the controversial book of Revelation. Regardless of your current opinion, the authors present many facts to back up their opinion in the book. It promotes free-thinking and discusses the differences between Pre-tribulation, Post-tribulation, and Mid-tribulation theologies.

This book is written for any person wanting to dive into the world of prophetic scripture. While written with Christians in mind, the book will appeal to non-Christians wanting to know more about things to come and what God has in store for the world. Even though no one knows the date and time in which the tribulation will happen, except the Lord God, this book will help ease the minds of many and get others to understand more about the "thief in the night". I feel that this is one of the best books on prophecy in many years. It is a must for any Christian library and should be everyone's library.
