Summary: The World Is Different Than it Seems
Review: I haven't read or even looked through this Bible, so I can't judge it. I just wanted to make a quick comment to the mother who thought it was too old for her daughter. It may be too old and it says a lot about your parenting & your daughter that she came to you with her concern. The unfortunate truth is, however, that these things are going on, with girls as young as 11! I'm only 24, and these things weren't happening to any great extent when I was 11. They are now though. I have a 14 year old and an 11 year old step sister. I didn't want to talk to them about sex at such a young age, but I heard from friends of mine with younger siblings that middle school aged girls were giving oral sex like we used to "make-out". They think it's not sex and it's not a big deal. Obviously it is sex and it is a big deal. Maybe your daughter doesn't need to be exposed to so much so soon, and they are very grown up things. But I just wanted you to know that these things are a reality for average girls her age, and if she doesn't hear the truth from her mom, she may get inaccurate information from someone else. Good luck!

Summary: Exactly What My Daughter Needs!!
Review: "Concerned Mom's" review piqued my interest, and here's why: I'm worried because my daughter goes to a public high school, and I know she's dealing with this stuff every day. One of the girls in her class is pregnant (at age 16), and she knows a few kids who say they're gay. It terrifies me what she hears at school and from her friends, and I know I can't protect her from that. I feel like we as Christian parents often stick our heads in the sand and pretend these issues don't exist, but we do our kids a huge disservice when we ignore their very real issues and let the world answer the questions for them. I suppose this Bible may be too "real-life" for some sheltered girls out there, but I know that this is exactly what I want my daughter to have-a Bible that tells her what God says about these hot topics. I bought the Bible for my daughter, and she loves it. I am so grateful that someone had the creativity and the courage to write something that's so right on with where girls are today.

Summary: Interesting
Review: I just went out and bought this bible this evening. I love it and it is very good for teen girls. I am a teen myself. Someone remarked how it is inappropriat for teens, but I think I'm going to argue that! My belief is this: If you think that the issues are innapropriate for teens, then you are sheltering them from real life. I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Summary: Great for young teen girls
Review: My 12 year old daughter requested The Teen Study Bible for Christmas. I found True Images when I was looking for the other bible. I thumbed through it and thought she just might like it better. She just loves it, there are loads of quizzes and advice to capture a young teen girls attention. She now reads it every night before bed and shares it with her best friend.

Summary: Concerned
Review: My mother just sent my soon to be 12 year old daughter this Bible. Soon after receiving it, my daughter came to me and said that she didn't think that she should be reading it. My husband and I began reading some of the focus stories and were shocked. Romans 16:19 talks about being innocent as to what is evil and wise as to what is good. The focus stories deal w/ a 15 y.o. girl being pregnant, another one is a girl wondering if she is a lesbian, another one wether having oral sex is OK, etc. I know that not all people see this as a problem but if you do, then do not purchase this bible.
