Summary: Beautiful testimony of God's love for us!
Review: I don't know if I can do justice in this review, but I will give it my best. This is one of the best books ever on showing us how much God loves us through his gift of Jesus. The author has written a book in a clear and simple and yet, amazing manner, that shows us clearly how much He loves us and how, through Jesus, our Lord, who took on all our sins and through our belief in Jesus we all can receive eternal life with him. I found myself reading the book in just a morning's time and felt so uplifted and comforted. Beautiful stories with many quotes from the Bible verifying and showing us the way to salvation-all we have to do is believe in Jesus. Is that so hard? It is our choice to make. He doesn't use trickery or lies like Satan does to get people to follow his wicked ways, but tells us straight out what we need to do for salvation and he gives us the choice to make our own decision who we want to follow. He will be there for us always anytime we turn to him, he will be there waiting. Enjoy!

Summary: A Definite Gift to Give
Review: If you're a fan of Lucado, you should find each story to be a unique jewel. However, if you've read many of his other books, you may be disappointed as this book is actually a collection of stories you probably remember from his other works. However, the title of this book captures the theme so precisely; a gift. The gift of Grace, there is no greater gift. And this title explains the purpose of this book: to be a gift to others...for those who would feel comfortable with a smaller book... for those who may only have the time to ocassionally read... or where a story needs to be precise in its brevity. This is such a book. One book that sets out to be a gift, one book that succeeds.

Summary: Possibly the best... please give it a chance.
Review: One of the most moving books I've ever read (next to the Bible). Mr. Lucado was no doubt God-inspired in collaborating these stories from other works into this book. What human mind could relay these thoughts in such touching fashion without the intervention of God Himself? How could anyone reject the gift of salvation after reading this book? Certainly a blessing in my life, I pray many others are touched by this work.

Summary: A Collection of Previous Books
Review: Simply, this small treasure is a Greatest Hits collection of Max Lucado's previous writings. Pulling the best snippets of wisdom from books such as The Great House of God and In the Grip of Grace, Lucado creates a melting pot that consists of a Reader's Digest version of all his books.

If you are swamped with his list of available titles, this is a great place to start. You will be able to decide what book to read next after spending time with The Gift for All People.

It's best to read a few stories either in the morning as part of a devotional or at night before going to sleep. The stories will help you examine you're own life and grow closer to Christ.
