Summary: Count the blessings we have
Review: A friend sent me this book. It is a story of an 8-year old girl, Morgan, who very quickly went from being diagnosed with diabetes to acute brain damage, paralysis and coma. It is a story of faith - both the miracleous and the frustration and pain. It is a story that shows there is much more going on in this world than what we see. Sometimes, it is a little girl who sees the full reality.

We have a daughter who, at age 10 was shot in the head and left handicapped. The story of Morgan reminded us of many of the days that we shared in common. With a newborn, you know they will eventually smile, crawl, walk, speak, grow, develop, etc. With a brain injury, it is like having a little baby again, but never knowing which of those capabilities will return and which will be lost forever. You find yourself estatic when you daughter can do that one simple thing she couldn't do the day before. Your thoughts are "Thank you God for this. If this is all she ever becomes, thank you for this." Mike Moeller does a very good job walking though the days after the diagnosis. He accurately describes the journey.

We cried, we felt pain, we were uplifted and we were awed by the story and the power of God.
