Rating: 5 stars
Summary: We can always do something
Review: What a timely book.
It's the perfect inspiration for all of us who ask "but what can I do?" as we watch our soldiers go off to foreign lands - and especially now, with so many loved ones so far away.
Phyllis Tickle gives us all a great gift in sharing this story of how her father "fought the war" in his own way. What an example he gave her of how there is ALWAYS something we can do - no matter how "small" it feels to us!
Not to mention it's an easy read - and moving. Like you're sitting in Phyllis' living room listening to her tell the story. I loved it!
Definitely a Christmas gift consideration!
(I saw it actually in Southern Living December issue - they suggested it for Christmas!)
