Review: This book is a must read of Robin Lee Hatcher. She certainly knows how to get you transform into the characters and feel what they feel. With the addiction of alcoholism it can be easily hid until later in the years of living through it. Deborah had a great friend that kept her going and trying to stay faithful and positive that Gideon would soon change. IT wasn't until his neighbor's Nephew came and change Gideon with his own experiences with Alcohol. This book has really taught us how much we should rely on Jesus through any thing because he does give us the strength to endure what our trials are.
Great Job Robin Lee Hatcher...Can't wait for the next book.

Review: This is a beautifully written book. It made me cry and it filled me with hope. It helps a reader see the wonders of a sovereign God who loves us all. The author perfectly reveals the agony that accompanies the disease of alcoholism, but this is a story that goes far beyond addiction. Don't miss this book. It is a cut above.

Summary: Great book on alcoholism
Review: This was a great book from a Christian perspective on the subject of alcoholism. Robin Lee Hatcher did a very good job of bringing her experiences with a loved one with alcoholism into this book. I could relate to a lot of the book because I was once in a relationship with an alcoholic. I could relate to the anger and pain that Deborah felt, the covering up of the problem, pouring out the booze, etc. This book is real and I highly recommend it to someone with a loved one who is an alcoholic.

Review: To realize what any one who has to deal with an alcoholism problem. Drinking is a sin and we do not realize what it can do to ourselves and to our family members. Deborah learned the hard way of not allowing God to be acknowledged when she married Gideon, but she also learned that God is very patient with us in teaching us through another person's sins. We must see that God is dealing with all of us. Deborah was concerned only that she had the blunt end of Gideon's alcoholism, but learned early on in the book that God wants us to see why things happen to us, rather than blame it on another person. Deborah turned her life around and continued on the right path and Gideon came through only with Lord's help. Terrific book - started it on Thursday evening, read it on the bus and train to work, at lunch, on the bus and train home and finished it early Friday evening. It's terrific and everyone should read it - I loved it! Robin Lee Hatcher is a great author - I have read all her Christian books and definitely admonish all to read all her books! This book was so original in the way she wrote other people's thoughts on the story she was telling. I couldn't put it down - terrific read for anyone of any age!!!!
