Rating: Summary: This was the best I've ever read, couldn't put it down! Review: A friend of mine loaned me her copy of "Clouds" because she was overwhelmed by it. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. You need to read "Sunsets" first, then this one!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: Clouds is a fantastic book! Such a sweet story, and one of the best books I've read in a long time. This book is part of a series. I only read Secrets first (which is not quite as good as this one) and was not lost in the story. I would have rather read them all in order, but I will definitely read the rest of the series ASAP!
Rating: Summary: This book is excellent, it's unlike anything I've ever read. Review: Clouds is an, inspirational, realistic, modern,& extraordinary book. I read an uncommon amount and very seldom do I find something that I can read over and over again and never get tired of. But this is it, I believe strongly that God does pick that perfect person out for us and this book demonstrated that perfectly. Excellent Job Ms. Gunn!!!
Rating: Summary: A GOOD BOOK Review: I enjoyed this book, and thought it was nice to see love as love should be. The author did a great job with that. If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever.
Rating: Summary: Shelly+Jonothan-Elaina=:) Review: I like R.J.G.'s books. I have read "Clouds" and "Secrets" of the Glenbrooke series and "Yours Forever" of the Christy Miller series. My fav of all of them is "Clouds". I like how the chara- cters of "Secrets" are in "Clouds", too. My favorite part is when Jonathon slides down the rope and lands in front of Shelly. That was neat. Another detail I liked was Shelly's job. I think airline stewardesses are cool.
Rating: Summary: The best! Review: I personally love the book! You really need to read the Christy Miller series first. THEN Secrets, Whispers, Echoes, Sunsets and so on. They are my personal favorites and being 14 I don't get to read them that often! :) I hope you enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: The best Christian romance novel yet! Review: I purchased this book one Friday evening at 10:30pm, began reading it at 11pm and could not put it down. I finished this wonderful book at 2am in the morning! Please read it, it is absolutely marvelous! It's about Shelly, who is a flight attendent finding her true love...in Jesus and her old friend.
Rating: Summary: This is for real, God does work wonders. Review: It does happen in real life, everything that happen to Jonathan & Shelly happen to my husband and I, from beginning to end.
Rating: Summary: Not my Favorite Glenbrooke Book Review: Maybe it's because i didn't have a high school sweetheart and i couldn't relate to the storyline but I really didn't enjoy this book as i have the other ones. It wasn't a bad read but the characters also didn't seem to have as strong a build-up as the other stories i have read by her. Especially Jonathan --- his character seemed kind of weak and didn't peak my interest. I know that all the other reviews are strong and I respect them but I have to be honest here on this particular one. But I love Robin's work and think she is an awesome writer. I can't wait for her to do a new book since the only one i haven't read yet is waterfalls...
Rating: Summary: Not my Favorite Glenbrooke Book Review: Shelly and Meredith, sisters from a close, loving family, are both experiencing career changes and decide to move in together. Unsatisfied in her career as an airline stewardess, Shelly begins considering other opportunities around her. Also unsastified that she is rapidly approaching thirty and still unmarried, Shelly cannot forget the boy whose heart she broke many years earlier. Needing to take some time off, Shelly accompanies her sister on a fateful trip to Germany, where she encounters Jonathon, whose proposal she had turned down years before. Instead of rekindling an old romance, like she had hoped, he introduces her to his fiance'. It takes Meredith and the Lord to make Shelly realize that her life can go on and that she can become fulfilled in her career and as a Christian. Clouds is a wonderful Christian romance with a great surprise ending!
