Summary: How do you get a book cannonized as scripture?
Review: Christlike Parenting should be in every home, right there next to the Holy Bible! (And read just as much!) I can't begin to tell you how this book has helped me and my wife become better parents. Parent/Child conflicts are at an all-time low. My boys are actually sleeping through the night. First time in four years. That is a miracle. Dr. Latham shows how we can become much better parents by following the teachings of Christ. He uses real life examples and scriptures to illustrate his methods. Most importantly I think, Dr. Latham recommends love. Love changes kids. I am a believer. I love this book.

Summary: Christ meets B. F. Skinner
Review: Glenn Latham, a family counselor and educational consultant, achieves something remarkable in this book: He implies that if Jesus and B. F. Skinner had written child-rearing manuals, their books might have been more alike than different. Both would urge a loving, patient, positive approach, with lots of praise and hugs for good works; both would recommend rejecting bad behavior, but not the person who commits it; and both would oppose punishment as a way of modifying undesirable behavior. This book shows that reasonable people can embrace effective, scientifically validated procedures (such as positive reinforcement) without betraying their religious beliefs.

Summary: Boy do I feel better!
Review: If you don't find the practical advice you are looking for (but I did), you will feel better about the job of parenting in general. I felt a real sense of purpose. I may not be a better parent but I do feel better about the job I'm doing!

Summary: Fabulous Book
Review: The ideas in this book are so simple but so powerful. These practices have changed the atmosphere in our home. Things are happier, calmer and in control. Thank you, Dr. Latham
