Summary: The Best of Non-Religious, Earth Celebrations...
Review: ..For the whole family!

I was looking for a book the whole family would enjoy, no matter what religion you are. Pagan, Wiccan, Christian, Jewish...This book is it!

Wonderful ideas for celebrating Nature and life all around us. All the items needed for the crafts are easy to find, or cheap to buy. Nothing complicated in the book.

Great family projects you will soon make a tradition every Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall in your home!

Summary: Very Satisfying
Review: I absolutely love this book! I turn to it again and again for inspiration for myself as well as for my 3 year old son. We have enjoyed making many of the crafts together and reading the stories, I like that it presents the information in a very reader friendly way and it is very organized. A wonderful resource for Pagan as well as Non-Pagan families and just as wonderful for those without children. I personally find the activities very satisfying for myself and actually bought the book BEFORE I had my son.. This is usually the first book from our (very extensive library) that I reach for when I am searching for a way to honor the season, or looking for a good craft, The crafts are very simple and do not involve a lot of preparation, or money! Simply Very Satisfying!

Summary: Not Just for Parents
Review: I actually bought this book not knowing it was directed towards parents. I was in search of a book with ideas on how to celebrate the year that were more Nature and Earth-oriented than the "common" Pagan ceremonies. I am also a pantheist who prefers not to incorporate the worship of deities into my holidays. Although the authors refer to the Earth as the Goddess (which I do not do), the book is amazingly easy to sympathize with and embrace. I particularly like their idea of the talking stick for use during the Winter to help shed the stress of being so cooped up. I heavily recommend this book to anyone in search of Nature-oriented ways to celebrate the holidays and especially to Pagans in search of creating their own traditions.

Summary: A Valuable Addition to Your Collection
Review: I agree with the other reviews - this is an outstanding book. It will make a valuable addition to any earth-honoring person's library. I am not a parent but found the information accessible and useful. I definitely reccomend "Celebrating the Great Mother" to all who love the Mother.

Summary: Ok
Review: I have been disappointed with this book. I have had it through all of the seasons now, and I haven't really found any activities which we could do as a family together. My stepson is 5 - maybe he is just too young. It seemed like most of her suggestions required a lot of materials and preparation and were focused around objects. I would have preferred more simple, practical suggestions for celebrating the seasons. I guess I will try another book.

Summary: A must-read for earthlings.
Review: I love this book! Full of gentle and encompassing wisdom, it guides us in honoring our mother planet in so many ways. Simple rituals to share with children. Informative journeys, carrying elders deeper into tradition. Lovely.

Summary: A joyful, accessible tome of information for families!
Review: I think this book is terrific. I've enjoyed reading it myself and aloud to my husband and my children. Its overall message is uplifting and it is not judgmental in any way, no matter the reader's philosophical viewpoint. I highly recommend it to families hoping to make some sense out of today's world. I also recommend it to people of all ages without children! It's moving and it's fun!

Summary: Wondeful book with lots of fun activities!
Review: If you can only buy one book on pagan parenting, buy this one! It includes several activities, recipes, and suggestions for family altars for each holiday. If you are looking for new, earth-honoring traditions for your family, then this book is for you! I highly recommend it for all parents.
